Lets not forget about Cleveland. They have owned us too the last couple of years. The top teams in the East just seem to kill this team with physicality.

Against physical, smart defensive minded teams, there is no room for error with the Triangle. The crispness of the offense has to be right on. And at this point this team is not quite crisp and quick enough within the offense to counter.

On a positive note, it seems logical to think that by the time the regular season ends, this team will have had a year and half together as a unit to hopefully perfect their chemistry. We'll see.

the only good thing I can see is the players will be more willing to listen to Phil.

But for the fans it sucks.

After watching season after painful (bleep) season of Kwa-may Brown, have you forgotten that he has a decent game every now and then? Don't take the bait.

I've caught the same fish twice while fishing....

Third game in 4 days. Bynum and other players are not fully there yet.

on the bright side, nobody in nba history has gone undefeated. we were bound to lose a game or two. does this team still have what it takes to go all the way? absolutely. but losses like these should at least be a learning experience and keep them hungry.

2 Words - Kwame Brown

Played well against his former team.

Kobe has never scored 60 points in a game in which Kwame Brown did not play in. Ever. Coincidence? Nope. Ask Kobe what kind of looks he got coming off of Kwame's screens. Listen, I am just saying he would have been worth the 4 mil to come off the bench and bang for us 15-18 minutes a game. That's all. I also find it very distasteful the way such a nice guy is treated by the fans.

Who would he be taking time from to come in and "bang." Kwame is terrible. He has certain games where he's less terrible. I don't think people should boo him, since he got traded he had nothing to do with leaving. I do think Feb. 1 2008 should be some type of national holiday.

I wonder if we didnt play the soft pacers, nets, or 76ers on during those threepeat years and ran into these pistons or celtics instead. Would we even have any rings?

Cavs and Pistons have completely owned us the last few years and now so are the Celtics.

The best parts of the loss?

Ariza has shown to be a consistent performer the whole season to date. Odom was solid, but not spectacular. No Walton which means Phil really is serious about wanting to win games this season.

maybe that will be good luck

I like to watch ESPN to get a different perspective, but if were losing I change it to KCAL or FSN thinking it will change things

PostPosted: Fri Nov 14, 2008 10:22 pm    Post subject: Its simple. Superstars on good teams get respect

Example Iverson on Denver. We would murder him when he drove and he never got a call.

Iverson on the Pistons. He is getting touch calls like he is back with Philly.

The Lakers will never beat a Detroit or Boston in a series without another super star that can get to the line. The refs don't respect the Gasols, Bynums or Odoms.

The Lakers need a guy on the peremiter. A guy like Vince Carter. When he drives he is going to get the call. And when he is playing defense he will get respected more because he is a star.

What i found out tonight confirmed my suspicions. Its just a star league. The team with the most stars who drive will usually win the game.

The bright side is that we cannot be undefeated forever. IT's good to lose early, especially we have a string of easy teams coming our way in the schedule

It's crazy to look at the box score and see they beat us so soundly with Rip going 3-10.

That's because he freaking drives to the basket all the time...just like Wade....just like LeBron.....just like CP......notice a trend among these superstars??? if you keep driving to the basket, you will get calls your way....if you settle for jump shots, you probably won't end up shooting free-throws at all

Detroit beat the Lakers in the finals with no supposed "Superstars".

well to be fair, the pistons shot extremely well.

But it is fairly early in the season, regroup, watch film, practice, we'll see the bulls on tuesday

I think you have a point. This game exposed some flaws that we can work on. It would be a shame to lose a game without it contributing to the teams growth by having a bad shooting night and have the players blow it off as a fluke. That would be a waste of a loss....if that even makes sense.
