Got a ton of young talent on this squad supporting Kobe, Derek, Lamar, and Pau. Team looks ready to roll into the regular season. |
Our bench is really being groomed to be our future starters and thats the best of both worlds. Win now with veterans using their savvy and have the 2nd unit learn from them while having the pressure to succeed all on the starters. Its perfect situation as long as the young 'uns dont get too impatient to start.
In some ways, Powell can be the perfect PF for this young squad. A banger and deft midrange shooter to take the pressure and spacing off of Drew.
PG: Farmar
SG: Sasha
SF: Ariza
PF: Powell (or some other banger/shooter.. Aldridge in a future FA signing?)
C: Bynum
A Lead Guard that pushes and can be a playmaker. A SG can shoot with range with the best of them in NBA and open up the spacing. A SF that can slash, play off ball, and finish with the best. A C that can command attention in the post and anchor the D. If Powell improves the future is really bright. |

Thanks DB!
What a fun game to watch! Bynum finally looked himself again. That nasty little spin move by Jordan Farmar looks like a real potent weapon; nobody adjusted to it. Of course if they do that leaves a big open. NICE.
It sure looked to me like Mbenga came in to MBang on Smith a little after that undercut move he made sending Mihm to the floor. I was wondering what the record for fastest foul-out, and you answered it! Mbanga was on a pace to shatter that 6-minute mark... the T showed he got some attention, but that jarring hook shot that went in was the best revenge.
Oden is starting to look a bit more beastly up here in the Pacific Northwest; I hope Bynum brings his "A" game and starts this rivalry out with some dominance, just to establish who is who in the pecking order of NBA Big Men. |

Oh, and Sun Yue creating his own shot after all those nervous miscues. What a great way to close the preseason!! |

the thing that really showed me bynum is getting into form was his showing on the high pick and roll.
he got out there and was really moving his feet well. good to see. _________________ Spark the ism, my expertism, is lyracism, my flow will take you over like I was hypnotism...so where's the lighter, to start the cypher.... |
