Just an fyi, especially for you non-Cali Laker fans, I checked my guide this morning and NBA TV is listing tomorrow night's Lakers preseason game at 10pm EST.
Good news as they have been very spotty over the years when it comes to giving the Lakers any run during the preseason. Don't know how many other games they'll show, but here's hoping... |

It's not so bad. I just ignore everyone wearing green and make sure never to watch the local sports news.
Most of my clients have moved here from other parts of the country and they aren't Celtic fans either, so the subject never comes up.
And believe it or not, the Celtics are the poor stepchild in Boston. People are much more into the Sox and Patriots (before Brady went down, anyway). Big Papi and Tom Brady are local sports heros. Paul Pierce -- not so much. |

I just took a trip to Dubai and I'm on Abu Dhabi time which is 8 hours ahead. I thought it was bad when I was in Miami. I miss L.A. |

They apparently were viewed much the same way in the 60s when Russell was leading them to 11 titles in 13 years. They rarely sold out the old Garden during those seasons.
If you are a chef (brilliant guess ), you can always feed any Celtic fans you see the old stuff you're getting ready to throw out. Just kidding...sort of. |

I don't know if it will be happening during the preseason, but with the debut of the regular season, remember that TNT will be taking over the NBA TV and NBA.com properties. With that, they plan to have a new look on NBA TV, which has been much needed. Hopefully we can get some previews of what the new channel will look like after they take it over, as it was in desperate need of a makeover.

I recently moved to La Jolla, (San Diego) California. I wish to watch the Lakers on TV, but I have no idea where to start looking for a cable provider and/or channel that the Lakers will be playing on.
Anyone else in San Diego that can be of assistance? |

You get a service, cable or satellite. Whichever works for you best/what you want depending on whatever.
Then you order NBA league pass through your provider.
I think that only satellite offers the NBA package in HD. Not positive though. |

I lived in La Jolla for a year and I moved up the street to pacific beach about a year ago. I hate to break the news to you but for the past two years I have been watching away games online or at a bar. Any cable provider has FSNwest so you dont have to worry about home games. I am getting league pass this year because I can't handle online quality after 15 years of watching 82 games a year on tv.
You could also use slingbox, I did for a while. If you want more info check out slingmedia.com or pm me. Good luck man let me know if you have any advances. |
