1. Mozart's Requiem
2. So What - Miles Davis
3. Vivaldi - Four Seasons (all concertos must be considered a single song)
4. All Along the Watchtower - Hendrix
5. Dark Side of the Moon - Floyd (this album must be treated as a whole, not a group of individual singles)
6. Take Five - Dave Brubeck
7. What a Wonderful World - Louis Armstrong
8. A Love Supreme - John Coltrane
9. Symphony No. 40 - Mozart
10. Under Pressure - David Bowie

Nice eclectic list. Only the Bowie song sticks out as not being quite up to the rest.

Is this even possible to do. I mean there is so much good music out there its hard to rate the top 10 all time. Especially with all the different genres of music, it makes it even more difficult.

I'm in the mood for that Floyd tune right now.

very cool, do you have it on a remastered CD?

the bass is unbelievable and in a darkened room that song does things to your head that typicallt drugs could do...

I don't have the remastered version, unfortunately. The only remastered Floyd album I have is Dark Side of the Moon.

A Day in the Life by the Beatles is unquestionably the greatest song ever, ever....ever.

Some of those I don't know, but Bright Eyes and The Hold Steady in your top albums? Interesting.

ya not saying this is an all-timer list, just my order of personal preference at the moment. tried to spread out the genres a bit too.

both artists (more BE than THS) have gotten an unfair rap for being listened to by the "emo" (such a bs term btw) teens of today. but the songwriting on both these albums are undeniable. some of the tightest, well thoughtout, and unapologetic lyrics around. both records are like a time-piece, capturing the essence and frustration of their generation.

Oh, I like BE, but the Hold Steady...too much of it is sounding too similar to itself.
