I liked what Adesanya had to say at the end of the fight
He said he decided he was willing to die in there.. Kiniun Kiniun.. Lion Lion.. I dont remember exactly what he was saying there.. true spirited fighter... |

Do you guys think Adesanya could give Jones problems? Adesanya seems pretty confident (outside of saying he needs to clean out the division before moving up, which may take years). I think, if the fight happens before Jones is over 35, he breaks Adesanya like a twig. |

Not a chance.
The same length and ability to mix up his strikes that gives him an advantage over his competitors would be exactly what Jones would then have over him.
Jones is basically a bigger and better version of Israel. _________________ Lakers, Chargers, Dodgers, Arsenal FC.

This. John walks around at 220-230. _________________ KOBE |

Agreed. As much as I like Israel Jon is better than him in every area. Israel looks slightly more fluid to me but that’s about it.
He’ll have to catch Jon on the downside of his prime and I think he knows that |

Or take roids to bump that power up
I liked Bones feedback to him after the fight.. mocking the tall kickboxer
Stats have them at same height but Jones's father forced his arms to grow longer..
6'4" each
Adesanya 80" reach
Jones 84 1/2" reach
I think Adesanya, for some reason, didn't train enough for power..
Kid has tons of fights .. over 100 if I am right
Is it possible his early fighting counted points.. style points .. as part of a win system?
Something that struck me about fighters like him and Silva..
It is like they don't want to consider their skills as lethal.. deadly... weaponized ..
It takes "I was willing to die in there" to get them to
go into Fight or Flight induced killing machine mode
(bleep) you Adesanya.. Round 5 should have been round one... You will learn.
He outclassed Gastelum in so many ways *except Power..
He was afraid to get knocked out.. .that will change.
I would respect Adesanya if his goal right now is
"(bleep) It.. I'd love to test myself against only the best and that is Jones"..
. Even if he loses he still wins by getting to fight the best.. get paid etc.. smart to push for it |

Just found this
https://www.glorykickboxing.com/fighters/israel-adesanya:fd1a588c-088d-4aaf-8d38-a21b3194aeb1
They have a fight stat of
Israel Adesanya 75-4-0 (27 KO)
But he only fought 4 for them..
He has been fighting in China since 2012??
https://www.thebeijinger.com/blog/2018/02/28/china-internet-rallies-behind-ufc-rising-prospect-because-they-mistakenly-believe
Quote: | As far back as 2012, Adesanya has been coming over to China to participate in kickboxing and mixed martial arts competitions in which he was represented by the Nigerian flag (shown below).
Rebranded with the Chinese name "Black Dragon" (黑龙), Adesanya exclusively represented China for each of his 2016 fights with Wulinfeng where he hoisted the Chinese flag during his walkouts and victory announcements. And to make his loyalty to the Celestial Kingdom complete and everlasting, Adesanya was introduced to Chinese fans as by ring announcers as having: "Black skin, Chinese heart" (黑皮肤,中国心 hēi pífū, zhōngguó xīn). |

Israel probably does look more fluid, but relative to his size in that Jones being bigger hits with a lot more pop and is therefore more direct.
I don't even think JJ on the downside of his career would lose to Israel, I think Jones will inevitably get bigger naturally as he ages and weight cut to 205 becomes more of a chore, so that power will always be there, and if Israel was hesitant to engage with Gastelum because of Kelvin's power, then he has no business getting anywhere near Jones.
I think if this was Anderson Silva in his prime he'd give Jones a much better shot because of his supreme fludiity and precision, but to me Israel would be worse than Holloway v Poirier in terms of sheer power discrepancy.
On a separate note, not really many fights coming up that I'm particularly excited about. _________________ Lakers, Chargers, Dodgers, Arsenal FC.

True Mo. I felt so bad for Max because he’s clearly out gunned at 155.
How do you see porier vs khabib going down? |

22 I also felt terrible for Max, he’s one of my absolute favourites, but his volume striking approach just didn’t have enough pop and he was getting repeatedly hit on the way in. If Max stays in the division for a while he will get more used to bigger hitters and refine his game, but given Dustin’s length of time at 155, I just don’t think Max realised that Dustin would be so much more powerful. I’d like to see Dustin against Tony Ferguson at some point, with Tony having some similarities to Max but a bit more size and power.
Dustin v Khabib should be interesting. I think Dustin has power that could damage Khabib on the way in, but people said the same about Conor in terms of precision and stopping power but look how that worked out. I think Khabib is a class above anyone else in the division, the speed and power of takedowns is too much, it’s hard to load up and blast someone who stays low and shoots quickly. _________________ Lakers, Chargers, Dodgers, Arsenal FC.

Yeah it's a tough pick. I think Tony is much more creative/dynamic with his striking...but...he's been out for so long... _________________ KOBE |

Contagious and JB y’all make good points
This is one of those rare cards where I’m not emotionally invested in anyone so I can just enjoy the fights with no stress lol.
Although I’m rooting for Suarez since I train down the street from her gym and for Valentina because she’s a beast lol.
But I really don’t care who wins with Cejudo and Moraes. Should be a good fight. But if I were Henry I’d try to turn it into a boring wrestling match lol |
