I saw the game. He looked great. I'm sure Portland will sign him and we won't even get a chance to invite him to training camp.

I remember he was really nervous when he played for us. He missed a couple dunks and airballed a shot in a preseason game.

Pinnock actually looked great for us too for a few games, but later showed that he wasn't ready for the league. Don't know if that's the case this time or if he has developed a little further. We'll see...

We might still have his rights if he had not insisted on a (non guaranteed) contract that pre-season (had to be cut) and agreed to play over seas 1-2 years.

I was really sorry to see Pinnock insist on the contract... Winters had nothing but good things to say about him at the time....

Portland is loaded with talented young players and they can't hold onto all of them.... I would sure like to see J.R. get another shot with the Lakers.

I recall how in my view (among others) that Pinnock was the much better talent between him and Wafer back then. Pinnock played very good defense and all kinds of athleticism.
