Kobe helped with bad defense, but most of all he shot a lot lazy shots when he should've taken it to the hoop.

As well as Lamar played....he reverted back to being Lamar and went soft...missed layups....

Gasol....how soft is this guy?

One thing i really hated was the guy's attitude on the bench when they had the big lead. All smiling and laughing like the game was over.

Where was the leadership? Where was Jackson?

At least we didn't get swept. I said it before....Boston is just a better team. Talent, mental toughness, HEART.

Jackson on the bench trying to act cool, and Kobe to busy fussing at the ref

just to add on that, everyone can here can hate on pierce as much as they want. dude's tough. we can joke all we want about the wheelchair crap but until we learn to have a heart like a champion. nothing is happening.

well he did get stabbed 11 times then come back and play for his team just days after

You don't "learn" that. You either have it or you don't. Gasol, lamar....they don't have it.

cant believe how many people are ready to throw this team under the bus everyone knew how tough this Celtic team was its just time for the Lakers to show how tough they are so far they aren't fairing so well but theres still another game to be played it might seem improbably how times has Kobe saved this team's ass before doesnt he deserve a chance to redeem himself in the next 3 games ?

bingo, too many drama queens on this team, we need some mental toughness added to this team in the offseason.

it's going to come on strong

and you can't blame them. any other guy in the league gets the MVP then chokes like this for the entire game in an absolutely critical HOME GAME in the Finals, and you know we would all be saying this about him

True MVPs such as Magic, Bird, or Jordan NEVER would have put on a disgraceful performance as he did tonight, and neither of them would have let their team choke away a 24 point lead. The Kobe nuthuggers will start exploding, but oh well. Also, Doc Rivers has totally outcoached the overrated phil jackson this series.

May I also add that PJ just ruined this game.

-Wrong timing with the timeouts.
-Not going back to Ariza, who played solid minutes compared to the likes of Turiaf and Walton.
-Benching Odom in the 3rd. Then playing him during crucial moments when the fact is Odom still can't handle the pressure.

The two leaders of this team, Phil Jackson and Kobe, just lost this one. It's so freaking disappointing.

Seriously...I don't think a lot is being said. This team has never struck me as emotional and/or tough.

And that includes Phil Jackson. He's just not a motivator. The (bleep) books and movies may work with some. Do you really think that stuff is gonna motivate someone like Lamar and Gasol?

There is another game, but it's hard to be optimistic when the team blows a 24 point lead at home

Kobe needed to keep taking the ball to the hoop in the third quarter. He started shooting those rally killing super hero jumpers with everyone else just standing around.

From top to bottom, the worst CHOKE job I've ever seen....the 30 point choke job vs. NO doesn't count cause we won.

FALSE.

Kobe has Gasol and Odom and a great supporting cast. Do not downplay the team. In fact, it's the Team without Kobe that lead by 24 points. And when Kobe started to take jumpshots instead of driving, and when PJ started screwing up his coaching style, all hell broke loose.

Just comes to show how PJ still doesnt have what it takes to overcome Auerbach.

...would be great to win all 3 games though. That would solidify him surpassing Red alright.

...but for now... sad sad sad loss.

Kobe got caught on the wings too much just how we defended Tony Parker in that last series

he needs to stay in the middle where he has more options to beat the double either to create for himself or others

Phil just isn't a motivator. I was surprised we had so many timeouts left even when we screwed up and inbounded the ball before calling a TO.
