I'll be at my kids' swim meet. My daughter kills in the backstroke. My 4 year old son, almost 5, is the slowest swimmer on the planet (he is also by far the youngest). But the game will be on the DVR. I'll be rocking Laker gear at the meet, and will rush home to see the game. My kids get to stay up until the end of the game during the Finals...my daughter is already in rare form for game 4...I've given her the superstition bug. She's got her laker three peat shirt I bought her outside Staples in 2004 ready to go. It is the good luck charm, plus a five and down high five with a "go lakers" with Dad pregame ritual.

Win this effing game...PLEASE!! You have young laker fans on the line here...make this a real series!!! Beat the green cancer!!!

We must attack the rim, and be ready to take charges. Boston is going to make a concerted effort to go to the hoop and put pressure on the Lakers. Somehow picking up some early charges could play into the head of the Celtics penetration.
The dream scenerio for the Lakers is to somehow get early fouls on KG, we need to penetrate and get him off the floor. The Lakers cant rely on the outside shot to be there, keep Celtics guessing.

Go Lakers

We need Gasol and Odom to show up early along with kobe firing the way he did in game 3. Can't rely on PP and KG to have another off night, I don't think that will happen.

Let's even this series and really make some noise!!!

Hope we play well today and for Kobe to continue attacking Boston's interior defense.

We are due for a blowout game, I just hope we play better tonight than we did on tuesday, if we do, we tie it up.

PostPosted: Thu Jun 12, 2008 12:10 pm    Post subject: Over / Under for tonights game.

Since I'm bored out of my mind, I've decided to make a predictions thread. ahaha, I hope I don't get roasted for it.

Kobe Bryant 30 points Over/Under? Over.

I say most definitely he gets to the 30 point mark and beyond. Let's hope it's on a decent shooting percentage.

Pau Gasol 20 points Over/Under? Under.

I think he'll contribute around 14-18 points and provide solid defense on KG. His rebounding will be key.

Lamar Odom 16 points Over/Under? Over.

I see him scoring somewhere in the 20's this game. He'll be more aggressive and avoid running straight into the defender. I'd like to see him be more assertive from the beginning.

Derek Fisher 16 points Over/Under? Under.

I think he's going to score in double digits. I'd love for him to be more of a spot up shooter and not trying to drive to the basket with his head down.

Vlade Radman 10 points Over/Under? Over.

I feel this game he's going to not get screwed by the refs early on and hit some early 3's. He's been known to start off games hot and cool off in the tail end. Let's hope he stays consistent tonight.

Sasha Vujacic 10 points Over/Under? Over.

Not by much, though. I see him scoring 12 points this game. The Celtics will key in on him and make sure not to give him any breathing room. I think they felt embarrassed by getting their a**es handed to 'em by "The Machine"

Luke/Ariza/Farmar/Turiaf 20 points Over/Under? Under.

I see Farmar scoring close to double digits. The rest, I can't really say they've found a groove during this series. I hope I'm proven wrong and Luke can grow a pair and score a few buckets here and there. Although I really like Luke distributing it more than finding his own shots.

After it's all said and done, I see the Lakers winning this game quite easily. Call me an optimist, but if our offense is flowing like previous rounds, we'll have no problem with the Celtics. The Celtics have an arrogance to them like they're invincible and I truly believe if we take all three at home, they'll start to question their ability to beat this Lakers squad.

Let's hope for the best! And feel free to add your own insights on the over/under.

My fellow Laker fans...where do you get this confidence? Have you not seen how the team has played so far? One bad game from Kobe and we're toast.
