Awesome win, manage to catch the last 5 seconds of the game after watching the first half, can someone explain why Kobe went for a shot from the inbounds pass?

I was too nervous to think about the shot clock so I don't know if there was one or not.

shotclocl down to 2

I watched the whole game. I saw a lot of contact being let go on both sides. The Spurs got more calls, which isn't unusual for a whole team (see some of your postseason games).

But that last play was clearly a foul...no doubt about it. Oh well, big deal....teams get breaks. You were beating them throughout the course of the game...but that was a foul dude.

clearly both Miller and charles on TNT disagree with you

We really are a dumb team sometimes. Too bad we'll not get a "clean" win and it will be controversial.

Kobe and the rest played like total idiots. I'm getting tired of his hero (bleep). Thought he was over that.

it happened against utah. it happened again tonight against the spurs. i dunno what calculator they are using to do the math and suddenly quitting thinking there's not enough time for the other team to come back. play till the buzzer guys! and f gasol for bungling those 2 shots. and also f kobe for his poor clock management at the end.

so we win and its "*"kobe and "*" gasol for you?

wow... you're being such a moron drew. you did watch the game right? oh wait... you were busy sifting through the 100+ page thread coz you're steaming over being snapped back at. great!! that's very juvenile. gasol missing 2 freethrows and kobe's poor shot clock management almost cost us this game. that's reality. that's fact. 50 seconds in the game up by 7, and gasol bungles 2 freebies. next play spurs makes a 3. then kobe with 18 seconds... i repeat... 18 seconds in the shot clock hurriedly throwing a shot in traffic as if it was a desperation heave. watch the game you idiot. instead of trying to instigate people on the board.

Tone it down, we won, that's all that matters now. Kobe's gaffe was worse than Pau missing the free throws, but we survived it and we move on, it's all good.

You may be right. I may be being too harsh on Gasol but he is simply getting owned by Duncan and his lack of rebounding cost us a couple of fouls on Lamar and Fisher who were trying to stay out of foul trouble.

Kobe's play could've been disastrous. He takes the bait too easily.

Dreamshake that last play was a foul, but the Spurs did not only get more calls, they got an obscene amount of calls. Watch the game intently or dont make comments belittling the disparity in the officiating

2 guys who talked a lot to the press but have come up with nothing. fisher talking about bringing the energy but standing around and not hustling allowing parker to snatch that ball. or lamar odom talking about dunking the ball but already bungling a couple of layups. sometimes talking is a coward mans outlet. walk the talk derek and lamar. walk the talk.

have you seen this guy?

someone check a milk carton for me please.

lol. watch the game instead of sifting through the whole game thread to see if someone came back to your replies. wow. talk about a matured moved. hahaha. you basically outed yourself. dont' worry i ain't looking for your milk carton. tsk tsk... tsk tsk...

Your words. Thats what happens when you open your piehole like you did with half of the game yet to be played.

It was easy enough to remember this garbage. I was paying attention to both the game and this thread.

Besides, you have no business talking about maturity.

Gasol is not a big situation crunch time player ... yet.

It's taken Lamar 3 years to recognize how big he can be in critical situations.

Pau, I'll say will get it within a year or two.

Can't expect it all from him in his first half season with the Lakers.

I tend to agree he is not playing at his best at the big moments, but thankfully someone has always been there when we've been in that predicament.

Just give Pau another year or two, and he'll be a clutch player too IMO. Phil needs some time with him.

Also, we're 1 game away from the finals, in large part due to Pau. I love that guy ...

Now I like Phil's response. Very classy..."yeah, he bumped him but I'm sure Fisher's shot hit the rim".

Playoffs are considerably rougher than the regular season.

At the end of the game, you have to hit them ALOT harder than that to get the call.

Didn't need to sift through the thread. But there is a search function for that.

Since i believe in the Lakers and their players, I like to mark especially ridiculous comments like yours for reference.

I watched the game. The difference between me and you is that you were foaming at the mouth and wetting your drawers when things got close.

Thats the only difference.

It's a moot point. Seconds earlier Fisher's shot grazed the rim and we got the rebound. The 24 sec clock should have been reset and the Spurs would have been forced to foul with 2 secs left sending us to the line to extend the lead. Two bad calls but if the first one was called there is no meaning to Barry's shot.

Phil just mentioned the Lakers last possession in his postgame press conference:

"I'm POSITIVE Fishers shot hit the rim. That ball should have been ours with a new 24 second clock"
