I love Hoosiers, Rocky, and The Natural, but it's gotta be Hoop Dreams.

So far the poll favors Hoop Dreams. When Roger Ebert did a top ten show some years ago, he had Hoop Dreams listed in his top ten all-time. There is no doubt it was an excellent film.

I just happen to like all sports movies .

There have been some very nice movies listed here.

Has anyone seen "The Fan"? - I was going to watch it at a friends house one night, but I fell alseep. - Is it any good?

If anyone would like an update on Arthur Agee and William Gates (The 2 stars of Hoop Dreams), just PM me, and I would be happy to share what I know

One of my all time favorite sports movies is Breaking Away (cycling).

(football) Rudy, Brian's Song, (original) Longest Yard. Heaven Can Wait: I remember as being one of the first football movies with realistic on field footage. Cool movies with football games: M*A*S*H, Horse Feathers.

Vision Quest (wrestling).

(baseball) Major League, Sandlot, Pride of the Yankees. I haven't seen The Rookie, but it's supposed to be good. I know it's hokie, but I liked Angels in the Outfield.

(basketball) Blue Chips.

Out of those listed, probably Coach Carter.

** I forgot Seabiscuit. The racing sequences are fantastic!

Just saw Million Dollar Baby. Very depressing and sad movie, but it's great. Not really a sports movie, but vey, very good. One of the Best movies I've ever seen.

Million Dollar Baby was a heartbreaking film. We would like to see the hero win, or at least fight back to a level of respect.

Nothing better than a chimp playing hockey.

But seriously,
1. Hoosiers
2. Any Rocky movie other and the 5th one
3. White Men Can't Jump
4. Remember the Titans
5. The Sandlot

Honestly, I didn't think Coach Carter was that bad.
