Shouldn't be surprising. Gilbert Arenas, Leandro Barbosa, Rajon Rondo, Tony Allen, Thaddeus Young, Stephane Lasme, Shawne Williams, Smush Parker, Romain Sato, Rodney Carney, Iverson, Dwyane Wade, Caron Butler, Rashad McCants, etc.... similar wingspans relative to height.

Not really. If they Lakers weren't all crazy about roster spot concerns we'd probably have Byars right now.

Isn't that what the D-League is for? Would Byars still take up a roster spot if he was put in the D-League?

^ You have to sign a player to an NBA contract to hold his rights and send him to the D-League. This is how we lost Pinnock last year. He didn't want to go overseas and we didn't have a spot on the roster for him. We can't just assign someone to D-League, we have to use one of our 15 roster spots on them.

Both Sun Yue and Gasol will play in international ball, if needed, so we won't lose them like Pinnock.

Rodney White? When MJ was GM of Washington wasn't he way high on White and even considered him to be the most talented player in that draft?

Guess MJ was wrong again.

So, no Drew Bynum on the roster?

Andre Patterson was my old neighbor before he left school. If the kid has anything, its tenacity. He loves conflict... we need an enforcer like him, if to do nothing else, light a fire under our other players

Rodney Freaking White!! Wow, I always wondered what happened to him. I remember when MJ said that about him back in 01.

I've seen Ebi Ere play many times, his profile doesn't lie.. A super streaky scorer.. expect him to put up points in the summer league but that's it.
