I usually like to figure these thing out myself but I must admit I am stuck.

Using both the bow and sniper I must have hit him square in the dome 6 times. How many hits does it take?

What difficulty are you on?

it took me six shots on the default difficulty. I know it is 12 shots to the head in the harder levels.

the sniper rifle took too long to reload, and i didnt have the bow. I had the Revolver which seemed to work nicely paired with a couple sniper shots.

Easiest way is with Co-op.... I didnt do it this way, but i tell you, I was so F-ing sick of Dom dying after that mission. 5 seconds into the fight he would charge him and get killed..... stupid SOB.

Tell Dom to cease fire. That will cause him to not charge and die. Then if you stay in the light, the Kryll cannot get you, and as long as you are in cover, neither can RAAM. It may take a while but keep going. Don't use the machine gun because there is no light.

BTW, it is a lot easier in Co-op because one person can stay in the light and distract RAAM without being killed, while the other person shoots RAAM when he's not looking.

In comparison to the rest of the game, especially on casual, RAAM is 10x as hard. Just remember to stay in cover and if he comes towards you, run away from him and find new cover in the light. And make sure you tell Dom to cease fire or drop back or whatever it's called.

10x as hard, gotta agree with that.

Do body shots count or do you need to go for the head?

I have done this between 50-100 times, getting tired of it.

Body shots work, just not that well.

Throw a grenade at him, hit him with the bow at least twice (body shot will do)

If you have the revevolver just aim at his head and unload all your ammo. Use the sniper rifle when you can.

I'm at the point where I can beat General RAAM everytime now (w/o co-op). I do not use the bow or sniping rifle, they are too slow. I don't want to spoil it for anyone so PM me if you want to know how I do it.

The Mini-Gun is worthless, dont bother with that.

Stay in the light... keep as much distance between you and Raam as possible. Stay where you start out for a while, throw a grenade at him to scatter the bats. Use that time to get some shots off with the sniper rifle. He will be at a distance for a little while longer (if you have the revolver and you have a good aim shoot those at his head.) If he gets with in 5 feet or so of you, run as fast as humanly possible to the spot infront of the mini gun (wear its light/behind cover).

If you have the bow (I didnt) you should take some shots at him with that. And if you have grenades use those to scatter the bats. For me, the revolver was the key. It can fire 6 quick shots and it packs a punch.

after using up my last grenade and hitting him once with the sniper rifle in the head he came closer to me. I unloaded all my revolver shots at his head. When i was out, it only took me one last sniper shot to the head from about 25 feet.

Thats the best I can do with out playing with you in Co-op

Finally

I think I started this on Sunday, thought maybe I was missing some uber-weapon at first.

This is what worked.

Bow with 6 rounds
Sniper with lots of rounds
3 grenades
revolver

Started at first barricade, told whats his name to cease fire.

Hit RAAM with a bow to get rid of the bats, then got 3-4 clean shots to his head with the sniper.

Then he started advancing.

Once he got to the barricade I got off a few blind shots with the revolver, then headed to the barricade by the mini gun. For some reason whats his name was already there.

Hit him again with the bow to get rid of the bats, then got 1-2 shots to his head with the sniper.

Then he started advancing.

Whats his name died.

Once he got to the barricade I got off a few blind shots with the revolver again, then headed to the first barricade.

From the first barricade got 1-2 shots with the sniper, then he started advancing.

Once he got to the barricade I got off a few blind shots with the revolver, then headed back to the barricade by the mini gun.

From there I think I got 1-2 shots with the sniper, then got a clean shot to his unprotected head with the bow and that did it.

I was also careful when running back and forth not to use the A button, it has a tendency to try and take cover and will get you stuck on the side of something in RAAM's line of fire.

Thanks all for the help!
