if smush could just play like this everytime there wouldn't be no argument about who should start...smush was great the 2nd half and OT...
and props to cook and kwame (though he missed 2 very easy layins)...
but gameball goes to kobe...i don't know which ESPN play-by-play guy said it but it's true - closest thing to MJ in the game... |

First it was the trap-game threads just to jinx us and now you're taking a shot at Kobe? Mmmmm i smell a troll. _________________ ~~~ "If I read a Utah paper that says Kirilenko stopped me, the next time I see him I'm going right at him," said Bryant ~~~

No... his point wasn't that he took 38 shots. His point is whatever he's implying from stating Kobe took 38 shots. That's why I asked. _________________ So glad we gave you your flowers while you were here, Kobe. |

What a jerk!!!! |
Kwame would have had a double double as well. Tomorrow he needs to shoot 1,000 free throws and 500 layups. |

I am just glad the Lakers were able to pull out this win......I would have been very grumpy all through the night had we lost.
I honestly dont wind Kobe taking 38 shots in this game. He was 17 of 38 (a decent 45%) while the rest of the team was 23 of 56 (41%). It was just necessary in this game for Kobe to have a big game for us to have a chance to win. He was constantly been harrassed not only by Shane Battier but constantly double teamed while his mates were seemingly missing earlier on.
By the way, Yao shot the ball 35 times in this game and he was 15 of 35 (43%) in this game. Thats even worse than Kobes on almost the same number of shots.
I am just glad we got the win and ALWAYS glad we have the MAMBA.
Longlive the LAL. |

I'm already sick of seeing "Yao had a career-high 8 blocks..."
I believe it should be 8* blocks (*=goaltend credited as a block that cost theLakers the win in regulation). |

kobe would have had a tripple double if not for kwame's 2 blown layups at the end. |
