one of the most visually striking trailers i've ever seen.
i can't wait for this movie mostly because i want to scope out director zack snyder's work when adapting a graphic novel. his next film is going to be one of my most highly anticpated films of all time: the film adaptation of alan moore's WATCHMEN!!!!
for those who haven't read watchmen...greatest graphic novel EVER.

Watchmen is right up there with Frank Miller's Dark Night Returns as the best graphic novel EVER. Probably tops DNR.
300 Looks freaking MEAN. Visual masterpeice; and that NIN song totally fits.
Side note...the story is about the battle of Thermopylae in 480 BC. Its alleged that 300 Spartans and 700 Thespians stood against thousands of Persians. These numbers are correct (if you agree with numerical estimates in antiquity) but one should also realize that each greek soldier also had at least 7 Helots, and numerous mercenaries alongside them, which fails to be mentioned among both contemporary and ancient sources. Just a pet peeve of mine that I wanted to express. Ok I'm done. |

Thx dude. Anyone else notice some of the creature type characters from the trailer have a SinCity-esque look to them? How much input did Miller have on this one as much as SC?
