It's that stuff you find in the section of grocery store you have to walk through to get to the bakery.

And why do I feel like I'm responding to an AI.

I have the same feelings about Vegas that I do about the DMV. I understand that it's necessary and there will be times when I have no choice but to go, but it's just not somewhere I ever want to be.

Boy, do I love weekends!
And a 3 day weekend? The fun just never stops!
Whew! I am exhausted.

What did I miss?

If you were a vegan attending an event that provided meals, along with hotel and travel accommodations, how picky are you entitled to be about the FREE food being provided?

Not at all. Even if the setup is for normal humans, there are vegan options available. Maybe not of a variety to your liking, but its not like everything is bathed in pigs blood and fat.

If I am the vegan and all I am provided with is iceberg lettuce and a single tomato slice, hell yeah I would be upset.

And yes, I've received this exact meal at events before.

Also, people don't seem to understand veganism. No, cheese is not vegan. Neither is fish. No, don't bother with the chicken.

And if I get that "salad" while everyone else gets a good meal, I am even more upset.

And please provide vegans with some sort of protein source. Tofu, garbanzo beans, lentils. Something!

While visiting family last month, I kept getting questions about my diet.

"So, you are a vegetarian?"

"That's right."

"Do you eat bread?"

"Uhm, yes."

"How about chicken?"

"No."

"How about broccoli?"

"Yes."

"And beets?"

"Yes. Listen, if it is a vegetable, I will eat it."

"Oh. And fish?"

"Ugh, no. If it is an animal, I will not eat it."

"Tomatoes?"

"Oy."

Anything not bathed in that is not food. The illuminati said so, ask snopes.

We once got a special diet request from someone attending a conference: "I don't eat sugar, but honey will do."
