It's an older concept (2002), but I wasn't checking LG back then. I love the concept of this car. Instead of tweaking cars that exist now, the engineers here were asked to totally start from the ground up. If they could re-invent the car, using today's technology, how would they do it? This is what they came up with.
Hy-Wire
There are many more articles out there about this car, just Google "Hy-Wire" and you can find more.
I know there are a lot of car people on LG, so I am curious about your thoughts about this car.
And yes, I imagine the price for a car like this would be astronomical (relatively speaking), so I am more curious about the design and function itself. But speak to anything if you feel like it. _________________ Courage doesn't always roar.

Not a fan, because I'm not a big fan of crossed chassis's for multiple models.
The Tesla Roadster is the best electric car I've seen out there. ~2500lbs. 0-60 in less than 5 seconds. 200+mil range. 3.5 hour charge. 120mph top speed? Doesn't look great, but at least has lightweight and functional electric power that doesn't take overnight to charge and isn't as slow as a caterpillar. _________________ Resident Car Nut.

Mike, I am not even so envious of the alternative fuel this car uses, but the ability to move the steering wheel from one side to the other, a larger front windshield so you can see more of the road, and lots of other neat new things. _________________ Courage doesn't always roar.

yep, I dont know mike. shoot the leg room even looks great in this small car. imagine all of the 6'5 guys jumping in and out of this puppy. but that large windshield. would take getting used to. imagine how fast it will look like you're going now that you can see the ground below you? |

^I'm more biased to cars that fit like gloves. I like sports cars.
Frankly, I don't like windshields that big. I'm in the middle of a a series Automotive Technology courses.
Utility is one thing, but that large windshield is just a huge safety hazard.
Volvo gets it right when it comes to safety. I don't trust GM. _________________ Resident Car Nut.
