i'm thinking the same thing. turns out he's one of youtube's biggest jokes. lots of video responses meant to ridicule him. here are some of the videos:

I thought the tricks were pretty interesting, especially the videos where he shows them from a different angle to reveal how they work. Maybe his enthusiasm is a bit over the top but it's not like he's smug about it.
