|
|
I finally got a job, thank God, and now I can make a few purchases that I have been neglecting. In addition to the basics, like food, shelter, and clothing, I am planning to purchase a printer/scanner. I don't want to spend more than $150. Any suggestions? _________________ Defense is my business, and business is good! |

Don't get the HP PSC 1510x scanner/printer/copier.
It's cheap, but the ink carts are ridiculous. When my black ink ran out after about 30 pages, I thought it was due to an old/bad cartridge. Turns out that it wasn't, they're just horribly overpriced in terms of production.
Expect to pay 50 to 75 cents a page for black only printing..
Sorry I don't have advice on which one to get, just to avoid the one I got.

Among other things you have to keep the cost per page in mind.
Some will offer the hardware dirt cheap and then bend you over every time you buy ink.
search pcworld and amazon for reviews |
