Make sure you catch up on your Webisodes. They're also showing the first act of Friday's broadcast.
* Actually, I'm a LOST fan also. Looking forward to tonight. |

Check out some Katee Sackhoff and Grace Park pics and then get back to us.
Looking forward to Apollo whining in a fat suit!

If you're thinking the new series is anything lke the old series... you're way off base. Perhaps you should check it out before attaching claims of "nerdom". I watch both LOST and Battlestar Galactica and would actually call LOST the more nerdy show.
Its pretty widely hailed as one of the best shows on TV... and it doesn't have anything to do with the chick factor. |

^^^Amen, JD.
Already the previews and spoilers are advising of a big ethical issue this year -- if your race was down to its sole survivors, and you had a means of inflicting genocide right back on your oppressors, would you be justified in doing so?
Plus, some of the BEST recaps/ commentary on the show is on televisionwithoutpity.com. Hilarious.
Check the recaps from the first season where they describe Adama looking at Apollo so ticked off that "the glare is now at DefCon 4."
Or when they talk about President Roslin looking so cold-blooded p***ed at a suspected terrorist that even Adama is standing behind her with a big neon sign that says "Acquiesce, motherfrakker."

^^^ To look at that theme another way, it also looks like the survivors are resorting to really brutal tactics in guerrilla warfare and things like suicide bombings to fight what they deem is an oppressive culture. I'm sure that has nothing to do with today's politics . |

I don't have a problem with being called a "nerd." I admit I'm nerdy about Lost, X-Files, Star Wars and other things like that with redeeming quality. I have no problem with it. I'd rather enjoy geeking out on things like that than something like the cool "ATL," "Crank" or "Jackass 2: The Search for More Stupid Things To Do." That's just me though. |

BG is brilliant, about the only thing it has in common with the old show is the name.
Lots of credit to Ron Moore for the new vision.
BTW
The spinoff 'Caprica' will be set about 50 years before the current series. Should be around the time of the rise of the Toasters. Can't wait. |

Wow. Spinoff already? Sounds cool though. I've been asking my friend at work, "Is it October yet?" for the last few months.
Mmmmm, Grace Park.
The webisodes have been intolerable. It's like being allowed to touch your tongue to the prime rib a couple of times throughout the day before having it for dinner. "Hmm. Interesting taste. Can't really get a sense of what's really going on. But man, am I hungry now." |

I know there's some Canadians around here who know about Edgemont. I used to get a few Canadian channels when I lived in Seattle and used to watch that show. It's kinda like Degrassi and starred Grace Park and Kristen Kreuk (Lana from Smallville) as well as the dude who plays Jammer in BSG. Grace Park played the hot reserved chick who discovered she was a lesbian. Good times on that show, good times... |

She didn't kill him with the knife. That was left on the table. She had pulled something out from under the chair (it looked like a tuning fork). Plus, she left whatever it was, in his chest.
I hope Starbuck doesn't convert to the dark side.
Man... Tigh is going off the deep end.
So, I'm assuming the gunfire we heard when Cally was running away, was the Cylons getting cut down... since scenes from later this season show Rosalyn. Or she somehow avoids the slaughter... though I would think she would be a primary target and they would make sure, not to miss.
How about Tigh's wife? She's certainly turning into a major player. SPOILER(Though I heard she gets whacked early this season)
I like that Adama trusted Sharon with the mission. I hope that trust wasn't misplaced. However, you know the (bleep) is going to hit the fan, when she finds out her baby is still alive... and you KNOW she WILL find out.
Great premiere. Head and shoulders above my second fav (LOST). Plus... a 2 hour premiere was quite satisfying. |

There is something about Roslin. I don't think she's evil or anything but she does have cylon blood flowing through her. |
