| For those that enjoy films that are a bit more on the artistic side, Half Nelson is simply brilliant. One of the best I have seen in years. A small movie about an urban middle school teacher who is fantastic with the kids, but goes home and does drugs. It is sophisticated, smart, funny and heartbreaking. Definitely worth seeing if you are into more thought provoking films. |

i was fortunate enough to get a screener for this film before its release and its just fantastic.
ryan gosling's performance is oscar worthy and so is newcomer shareeka epps'. its a very strong, emotional film with a superb soundtrack by the great band broken social scene.
if this one comes to your area...definitely check it out.
