Too bad he was using steroids

It is sort of sad.. Bonds shouldn't be named in the same breath as Aaron or Ruth.. no way...

If the Babe used the same juice Bonds used he would have had 1000 dingers.

I'm not glad he did it.

and I will be even less happy if and when he breaks Hank Aaron's record.

Honestly, he's the only player I've ever wished a career ending injury on.

If Pete Rose can be banned from baseball for betting on Sports, Barry Bonds should be banned for cheating within his own sport, which I find to be a far far more aggregious offense.

If Bonds gets close to breaking Aarons record I hope some fine American pulls a Tonya Harding on his ass and breaks his elbow with a bat - a corked one at that

HOORAY FOR SECOND PLACE CHEATERS!

Cheaters never win, and Barry Bonds is a living example of this saying...

Yea, but in that case Mac actually broke a record... Barry is passing Babe Ruth, not Aaron!

Were minorities allowed to play during the Ruth era?

Are you serious?

Bonds broke Big Mac's single season record and either nobody gave a (bleep) or hated him for doing it.

Same will happen when Barry Bonds passes Hank Aaron.

I don't really care for baseball at all, but I do see a parallel between Bonds and Kobe, although Kobe never used steroid.

No. But steroids can increase power, bat speed, and the size of one's head.

He's a self-centered narcissist. It's amazing that with all his cheating and his ill-treatment of the fans and the media, Bonds is still less hated than Kobe. WTF?
