We cant have Wood worried about which IG chick of the month has his son.

In comparison, Lebron's kids are safe inside of a mansion with his longtime wife and household staff.

Wood makes poor life choices, which translate to poor decisions on the court.

Christian Wood granted temporary restraining order against mother of his child, accuses her of multiple wrongdoings

Los Angeles Lakers big man Christian Wood was just granted a temporary restraining order against his model ex-girlfriend … after he claimed the mother of his child made his life a living hell following their breakup in December 2022,” TMZ Sports reported.

“The allegations are all laid out in court documents obtained by TMZ Sports … with the 28-year-old hooper accusing Yasmine Lopez — who boasts more than a million followers on social media — of causing not only mental and emotional stress, but also financial damage to his valuable property.”

Good for Christian. Sucks though that all the initial responses just hours after the video was that he was the bad guy and those same places never retorted it or upgraded the story after they got their engagement farming done.

Welp

ESPN Sources with @McTen: Los Angeles Lakers F Christian Wood will undergo an arthroscopic procedure on his left knee and is expected to be sidelined for several weeks. The Lakers final regular season game is April 14.

That sucks. At least they only spent the vet min him. Unlike Gabe, who got the MLE just to have courtside seats.

I would gladly re-sign Wood for the minimum again next year, if he wants to come back.

It's too bad about Wood. Hope he makes a speedy recovery. He probably opts in now, which would be a good thing. Getting his early bird rights would be nice.

Yea, Wood probably opts in which may not be a bad thing. Wood/Prince/Dinwidde for vet min could each be useful insurance for contributors missing time. I wouldn’t count on any of them as plan A tho, certainly not as starters but not even n a top 8 playoff rotation type role either. If they up their game or the Lakers are forced into a plan B situation then so be it, I like all of their potential as 9th-11th on the roster mixed in with MaxC/Hayes for deep rotation. I think they will need a better option for a player however at back up C if serious about competing for a ship.

Wonder if he could be available for a playoff return. This message came after his surgery.

The first guy that I would believe that can matchup with Porter against the Nuggets. He’s a really a SF masquerading at Center. He can’t anchor nor has the IQ for defensive schemes but if you stick him to a man to man guarding the opposing long wing, he can be an asset.

I have not seen any reports of him working out with the team. So I doub't we see him at all... It's Vando the biggest ??? right now. We can use him on Murray.

We’d probably have won at least 2 more games with Wood, especially the ones where AD poked his eye and Ham resorted to playing Rui center mins. Lakers could’ve possibly been 6th seed.

That game was JHayes with 30+ mins and 19pts.

Hayes didn’t lose you that game. When he sat in the third he was rolling. Cam Reddish dumbass lost it for you as they went with him to replace him like he was a mythical small ball player and everyone else slide down. Hayes killed that game with his 19, run runs, and hard play.

You can point to plenty of games.

The game versus the Sixers where AD dominated Embid early so they moved Joel off him and on to Max Christie and Max did Jack (bleep) but get AD doubled weakside and he could not score or get it back or make Joel play anything but free safety.

The games where Cam, Prince, and Vando all started together and you have Reaves, Rui, and Dlo all of the bench trying to get 20 mins

The Dallas game where AD and Hayes played together in the fourth and won all the minutes on the court together but Hayes was benched for cam late and Reaves stupid ass left Kyrie to double

The spurs game AD sat but Bron played, yet Ham decided to play the defensive guys around Lebron and we got stomped on offense .

Lakers F/C Christian Wood is planning to return to action in Game 3 vs. the Denver Nuggets on Thursday in LA, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium. A key boost to Lakers frontcourt. Wood, out since Feb. 14 due to knee injury, has averaged 7 points and 5.1 rebounds this season.
