Hi all
Okay so my understanding what happened tonight is Bazemore shot 2 free throws and made it late in the 4th. Than the refs realized later the Lakers were not in the penalty when he shot the free throws so two points were taken away. As a result the game was winnable at the end
This seems a very crucial call. Not to mention unfair because even if bazemore shouldn’t have gotten the free throw the Lakers should hav head the balls out bounds. I don’t recall the refs were doing something like this.
This seems like something they need to address immediately since the referees screwed up and it punished the team. Should never have happened and should never happen again
the refs just cleaned up the stat keepers mistake... who was the stat keeper tonight? _________________ "Now, if life is coffee, then the jobs, money & position in society are the cups. I remember there was a shaq 6th foul situation with Miami back then, and the game was played again from that point (1 minute ish left in the game) at a later date. Ironically, shaq was no long with the team

Imagine if that last second three had gone in. I’ve never seen anything like this before. _________________ Damian Lillard shatters Dwight Coward's championship dreams:
Point shaving.. this seems like a betting sandal right before our eyes. Does anyone know if the points or loss of possession changed any over/under or point spread
I think the correct way to handle that situation is they will take away the 2pts, but will give extra possession for the Lakers in the end of 4th,. The time will be the time remaining in the shotclock during foul on Bazemore.

Lakers at halftime were favored to win the game by 2.5 points.

Inspired but insidious refs I'll tell you. I thought time travel was impossible, yet they made it happen. The free throws never occurred. Just. Like. That. Who knows what butterfly effect this will have on the future thread of humanity though, altering the past like that.
Curse those refs. But at least the Lakers still won.

Nah, that would have been ridiculously unfair to the Lakers since the pressure would be on them if the Rockets go up. The most logical way would have been to wind back the clock just a bit when the foul happened and give the Lakers the ball out of bounds. There was no perfect way to handle the situation as it was a really weird one but the way they did was probably the absolute worst way.
Would have been a pr nightmare the NBA wants no part of if the Lakers actually lost because of it. It would have ultimately probably been replayed from the spot Baze got fouled if the Lakers lost.

If the Lakers had lost the game on the last three attempt could they have filed a protest and would the game possibly be replayed from the point the error occurred? Can't imagine the furor if something like this were to happen in the playoffs and the team that lost the possession loses on the last shot.
How much clock time passed between the foul and the refs correction? It looks like they falsified the play-by-play to hide the details.
The game started with 2 or 3 phantom technical fouls that made absolutely no sense. I had a feeling in the first quarter that the fix was in, but I never could’ve imagined they would do something like this.

The statistician was correct. That's how the refs discovered the mistake - they looked at the scoreboard and saw 4 team fouls on HOU. _________________ On Lakersground, a concern troll is someone who is a fan of another team, but pretends to be a Lakers fan with "concerns".
Ref is absolutely wrong taking the points off, could have cost us the game. Team has coaches that should be keeping track of fouls if the ref makes a mistake, the coaches of that team should be first to argue. So once play resume, the ref has no right to make those changes, its Houston's coaches fault so why penalize the Lakers. Stupid ref decision.
