With all due respect, I know the Lakers have always attracted fair weather fans at home games. Celebrities would show up not really caring to cheer. Not always, but it's common. Now, you got social media influencers in the 100 sections essentially there for an Instagram photo shoot, and the camera kept panning into Kendell Jenner cheering for Booker.

The fans should of boo'd her the hell out of the building. Stay away from Staples. Root for the Suns in Phoenix for all I care.

It's bad enough getting blown out at home by the Suns, a franchise I've loathed for decades, and now untalented hacks with millions of social media followers are taking up perfectly good seats and marking up prices only to root against us?

Get lost!

I’m pretty sure she’s always been a Laker fan. But, of course, she’s going to cheer for her boyfriend. I have no problem with her being there. Also, the Lakers have more fans at other arena’s than any other team, so I don’t think we should complain too much if a relatively small number of fans at Staples are cheering for our opponent.

Many of the celebrities at the games are there promote themselves and whatever project they are currently promoting. Same as they do when they are on talk shows. The celebrities are given the seats and it’s work for them to show up. Kendall on the other hand does enjoy sports and was there for the game as well as her boyfriend. As a fan I enjoy seeing celebrities at the games, especially beautiful ones.

I don't when they're rooting against us. Plus, it only marks up the pricing of tickets for actual fans who want to go to home games. It doesn't benefit anyone but the social media influencer chasing clout in lower level seats.

Kendell might be a fan, but the camera didn't need to keep panning to her as she cheers on the opposition.

If this is acceptable to fans, so be it. I find it obnoxious as our fanbase at home games is already known to be less then exciting in part because of this.

Celebrity culture has always been part of Lakers culture. The ultra wealthy making everything more expensive for everyone else has always been LA culture. None of this is new.

I am very well aware of that.

But it’s gotten much more cringey.

It’s one thing for Hollywood celebs like Denzel or Adam Sandler to show up and root for LA.

It’s a completely different situation when influencers, key word, social media influencers, who use these games as a means to boost their social media clout, enter the picture.

It is what it is.

I couldn’t imagine it getting worse then previous years, but here we are where fans are justifying these hacks rooting against us (or not at all) at home games. Oh well.

You should be more worried on how the Lakers are playing than the people on the stands.

If they pay for the seat then they can cheer whichever team they want. It has always been that way and I have been to Laker games since the 80's. I didn't notice any difference. It is all in your head.

Lakers will always be LA's #1 sports teams but if Ben Affleck or Matt Damon pays a (bleep) ton of money to cheer for Boston when they are in town is really an issue.

Kendall Jenner is cheering for her bf so I don't see anything wrong with that.

Let's just focus on Laker basketball and how they can improve instead of celebrity fans.

Dude. Chill. Leave the young lady alone. We've shown celebs in the past cheering for other teams and it was okay before.

I'm not a fan of hers, but let her be.

You're right, it's in my head because it's true.

And btw, Phil Jackson didn't care much for Affleck or Damon at home games, and I don't either.

If you're a fairweather social media influencer there for a photo op, kiss my ass and go away.

That's all.

I'm sorry, I wasn't aware LG became woke to opposing teams and fans at our homegames.

What's next, rooting for the Clippers because they play in So-Cal?

Where have your balls gone?

I have little animosity for a fan or celebrity cheering against my Lakers. All part of the game.

What I do hate to see is players, coaches and benches of opposing teams chuckling it up as they clown the Lakers by 30 at home.

Let them cheer dude. The way to shut them up is to win.

!!!

It's become just as much a show as a competitive game.

Kobe would sit there stoic while Chris Rock was trying to make him laugh.

These days, it's the complete opposite.

I'm sorry for pointing this out to anyone whose offended by my critique of Kendell Jenner.

Staples Center has always been one of the worst HC's due to all the non-Laker fans aka celebrities showing up taking up a lot of the seats. They're too busy putting on mascara to pay attention to anything else

The NBA is an entertainment business. I see what you are saying but the celebrities will always be the focus. The camera doesn’t care who they are cheering for.

Kendell is Kims half sister, not step.

BTW, Kim (and Kanye) have been nothing but supportive to Vanessa since Kobe's passing.

Jenner is out there court side rooting for the Suns.

Lol nobody brought up politics.

I’m talking in the context of them being actual Lakers fans who have gone out of their way to support the franchise + widow of the GOAT vs Jenner rooting for the opposing team court side.

Who doesn't support Vanessa?

And supporting the leader of the insurrectionists who are trampling on the US Constitution & Democracy is akin to rooting for the opposing team, isn't it?

Don’t say that out loud, you might offend the Jenner apologists who justify their presence at games while rooting for our opposition.

Just because it’s always been a staple at our home games doesn’t mean I cared for it then or have to accept it now.

This isn’t a concert or the Grammys. It’s supposed to be a competitive sporting event. But I digress.

What I don't like are all the 18-24 year old females who are obvious groupies, and who likely know nothing about basketball but certainly know how to "impress" the players enough to get floor seats.
