There is a lot of pessimism right now regarding the Lakers but this road trip can end up doing wonders for this team, I remember a couple of years ago when we were about to go on a long road trip the team dropped some home games and were struggling but then ended up having a great road trip, don’t put your heads down, keep the spirit high, this team will figure it out.

LeBron is supposed to be coming back on Friday so yes the team as a whole will be healthy especially the big 3.

I don't wish injury on anybody, but I just get this gut feeling somebody is going to get injured this road trip.

Hearing some news on the LeBron front? It’s reported that he could be back on Friday, perhaps we lose tomorrow’s game but I could see the team winning the rest of the way after that.

Got to be honest, it's hard for me to associate the Lakers with 'heart' and 'grit' at this point.

Like most on here, I can't wait for the team to prove me wrong but the signs just aren't there.

It will show us how old this team really is. We've had it ez so far with a lot of home games and no b2b in our schedule.

They barely beat bad teams at home so it’s tough to expect anything better than 1-4. Probably starting out 0-2.

Devils advocate.

Russ may be overwhelmed with being home and all that comes with it off the court.

Maybe being on the road with just his teammates is what will get him going.

(I fully don’t expect this to happen but I’m running out of hope)

the good thing is we have seemingly been a better road team the last few years.

Its 5 games over 8 days, with only 3 days off to choose practice or rest. This team has a lot of work to do, and there might not be much time on this trip to do it yet. If LeBron comes back after Friday, however, we are in a good position to beat BOS, DET, and IND who are all .500 or below. MIL is under .500 and the Knicks are 8-6. It's not a terribly tough road trip, it really could go either way.

Fearless predictions:

Milwaukee L: Middleton is expected to play, so the Bucks will be close to full strength.

Boston W: Jaylen Brown will be out, Lebron will be back.

Detroit W: The Pistons are bad. This is the kind of game you worry about, because we've had a tendency to play down to the level of bad teams.

New York W: I like the way we match up against the Knicks. Maybe I'm an optimist, but I think we can control Randle. The Knicks are not a good defensive team this year, even with Thibs.

Indiana L: This is the second game of a back to back. We're a better team, but I think we'll be road weary.

2-3 is actually a good outcome that i'm hoping for. 1-4 is bad and 0-5 is unacceptable. We "should" be able to beat Detroit. 5-0 would be a surprise of the year and I would never misspell Westcrook's first name again.
