Was thinking about the Azores, decided on Tulum, Mexico.

What I really miss is going to the gym.

There will be no after covid, hopefully there will be better handling of "with covid" though.

What I'm looking forward to is that those who mishandled the situation will get their bill for it.

I'm looking forward to a better handling of similar situations in the future, with real open scientific discussions and working collectively on solutions...

I'm just looking forward to teaching in an actual classroom in the Fall. This zoom thing, while somewhat convenient, is inherently awkward.

Other than that, I look forward to traveling, going to the movies, big gatherings, etc.

I can’t wait til my kid go back to in person school, I’m exhausted and I feel so bad for him. Adults working from home is one thing, young kids on virtual zoom learning is heartbreaking (I know it’s necessary)... why can’t the US make enough N95 for all teachers/school staffs, it’s been a year already. U can use the defense production act to get pharmaceutical company make rival’s vaccines but you can’t get factories to produce 3M N95s???
Sorry just wanna get it off my chest as I watch my 4 yr old not paying attention to his zoom class

Indoor dining... once my parent in law are fully vaccinated (they help with my kid), man, dining out every day
And just meeting up with friends and families, took that shietz for granted, no more turning down invites, my ass be there, I’d drag wifey out even if she don’t wanna go

4 year olds is one thing, but in my case I have 40 college students per class and it's almost impossible to get them engaged. And we have a department policy of not requiring them to have their cameras on except at the beginning and end of class. So there is a 40 minute gap and I have no idea what they're doing, especially since I use powerpoint presentations to lecture and that takes up the whole screen.

As cathy said, things are going to be very different for a long time, if they ever return to "normal" at all.

The one thing I am truly looking forward to most is live music, particularly in a small venue. Though I feel that's a ways off yet. And then there's simply being able to go out a do things. I've been living near Seattle for a year now and one of the reasons we bought a house up here is that we love the city. We haven't been able to enjoy it at all. So when things fully reopen it's going to be great to be able to do the things we enjoy there, . . . museums, galleries etc.

Then there are things I am not looking forward to because the pandemic has just changed my mindset about somethings. The idea of hanging out in places like crowded bars just for the sake of having drinks with friends doesn't appeal considering there are other ways to do that. And I can't imagine I'll ever have the urge to return to Vegas again. It's just not appealing anymore, being in crowded casinos etc. just doesn't seem worth the effort in the future.

If there is any good to come out of this is that people take diseases more seriously, disinfecting and cleanliness is incorporated into our routines.

Why Six Flags Magic Mountain? It sucks once you’ve been on all of the rides. Rundown mess.

I’m from Santa Clarita. The park is good for thrill seekers, but the general ambience and cleanliness is nothing like Disneyland, Universal Studios, or Sea World. Just has a really sketchy vibe and not much to do other than the rides. Hurricane Harbor is worse because they don’t change the water for the entire season...

They’ve also been charging me my monthly season pass fee during the year long COVID shutdown...

Magic Mountain appeals mostly to high schoolers and up because of the rides....
Disneyland on the other hand appeals to the entire family.

I'm a Disneyland guy but my wife loves Six Flags. Magic Mountain usually means a day drip up to Valencia (as opposed to hopping into Disneyland for an hour) or out of town/state since their annual pass means admission to any park in the country.

I'm going to follow CDC instructions. Going to mask and social distance for a while after the all clear. Don't intend to move too fast. I will err on the side of caution.

Also looking forward to family dinners. My niece is one hellofa cook.

My son, Deion, was born in May 2020 so it will be nice just to get out at public parks, the zoo, friend/family gatherings (still will be cautious to know if everyone is vaccinated before I expose him), etc. Want him to explore, be curious and get out of the damn house so he can learn his surroundings.

Do yourself a favor and add in Spain and the south of France. Thank me later.
