Have to believe Rob will game out different options so I wonder who he's got on his list of potential trade or buyout candidates for bigs. |
Drummond is a 27 year budding star. Max to close to max player. You don’t get those from the buyout markets very often |
Good points. Assuming Rob wasn't really expecting to get an all-star center through a buyout, who would be potentially available that would be more on the level of a Dwight/McGee replacement rather than a Gasol replacement? |
Oh, centers who might be available for what we can pay next year would probably be Whiteside, McGee, Dwight, Nerlen Noels, Willie Cauley-Stein, |

Gotta feed him little more. I put that on the point guards/attackers: Dennis, AC, THT |

That’s the life of a big man who has no post game. He’s dependent on getting spoon fed shots where he takes most one dribble to attack. Knicks packed the paint and didn’t let him catch the ball in position to go up and dunk. Credit to Drummond for not trying to force things himself. Sounds like he’s finally accepted his weakness as an offensive player and is sticking to what he’s good at while working on his weaknesses, which is a benefit to the team he’s on.

When the guards can't do a simple post entry pass then your big men are going to struggle. |

This one is on Vogel....they front the post and we don't feed the post? Gimme a break move the ball to the top quickly and lob it quickly or have the guard penetrate and you have an easy 2 on 1.....not rocket science Frank. |

When the team defense is geared towards stopping Drummond, you don't force it to him with a defender fronting and help side defense. You have to adjust. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

Vogel needed to get Drummond acclimated to plays against double. Knicks were swarming him and crash the board around him, our guards didn't |

This is exactly what I was trying to question in the game thread. Only 3 points for Drummond because of the Knick's defense? Are you kidding me, Frank?! |

I gave LBJ credit for McGee and D12 pleasantly surprising me last season.
Now I'm starting to think Vogel and his staff should get the credit.
They are the big man whisperers.
Come to think of it. Hibbert's best seasons were with Vogel too. _________________ "Every hurt is a lesson, and every lesson makes you better” |

Not much offense but 12 rebounds and a clutch steal that led to the Caruso clutch 3. _________________

He’s not a good offensive player. He’s doing exactly what we need him to right now, get opportune scores while he defends and gobbles up boards. He shouldn’t be forcing things nor should the Lakers be forcing him the ball, especially when teams like the Knicks and the Hornets tonight packed the paint and sent doubles against him.
I’ve loved what Ive seen from Drummond so far. I was worried he’d be demanding his touches like his rep said he would, but it looks like he’s committed to doing what we need him to and get his scores organically. As the team gets more comfortable with him, especially once Lebron gets back, they can look to get him the ball in scoring position more, but for now with a packed paint and guys hedging towards him when hes down low and doesn’t have the ball, I think this is fine. |

Last 2 games doe, both Drum and Trez have been offensively. Drum 3.5 points, Trez 2 points. _________________ |

2 big defensive plays down the stretch against NY.
After getting an offensive rebound and turning the ball over he seem frustrated but his teammates came up to him doing the timeout, trez I think was one of them.
He has a steal off a pick and roll. And I think the next defensive play, he got his hands on the ball breaking up the play. The knicks got the ball back but had to take a contested over AC that missed badly. |

Interesting quote. Not what he says about Drummond but what he says about himself. It's good to hear that he realised he wasn't playing winning basketball before and now he tryes to. He's been playing differently this season, trying to make the right play on offense and doing the small things and playing defense. |

Can't disagree about anything he said...in fact, he appears to have grown up and understand what it takes to be a champion. |

Very well said by him. His maturity is showing and it's great to see. So mature that I almost thought this was a fake quote _________________ “You can't be held captive by the fear of failure or the fear of what people may say.” - Kobe Bryant |

Wow, so on point, we can see that Kuzma sacrifice his game for the sake of winning... he gets it |

If he is willing to accept the tax-payer MLE I guess we can resign him. |

Clickbait. The wording is so dumb. That’s like saying I plan on studying for my biochemistry exam this weekend. _________________ |
