End of the day they have to make shots...

Where are all the people who are complaining about Schroeder starting? You now see his value to the team, Caruso hasn’t done squat since DS went out with the Health Safety and Protocols

Its hard to believe, but we were once the THIRD best 3-point shooting team in the league.

Take out that game vs the TWolves, and Lakers well below 30% from the 3 since the Bucks game.

I will just be blunt. With, or without, AD, if the Lakers dont get better from 3 (just get up a few percentage points), they aint winning it this year. They dont need to be great, just decent. If they shot their team season average (35%) they woulda won.

LeBron was double teamed at the 3 point line.
Caruso had a very good look, he just missed the shot. It happens. Next.

Caruso wan't even behind the 3 pt line so if its a 2, should have just driven in closer for a floater- there was time IMO

Again, you are expecting AC to do something out of his comfort zone

It’s the final shot. A shot every player has practiced in the back yard. This wasn’t a set play. This was a scrambled possession to tie. AC was open, Bron was doubled deep behind the three. Sucks AC missed it. That shot was off like he was the one doubled

If he was ready to shoot, he couldn’t even dribbled after the catch, he would’ve been behind the 3 point line and just fire

The debate of him as a starter is still valid. But, whether starting, or being a 6th man, had they had him tonight they likely win.

I don't get it.

Neither do I. There is "doing the right thing," and there is the knowledge that you are not surrounding by confident shooters. I wish James would either drive to the basket or shoot the damn ball.

it's what he's here to do.

He's LeBron freaking James, single covered with an open lane.... and he throws it to Caruso? At the very least LeBron going to the basket and trying to finish I'd have preferred.

But he threw it to Caruso who hadn't had a shot in how long?

There's doing the right thing, and then there's just not being engaged. I didn't like his body language when Wes missed the three either where he just walked up the court despite KNOWING we had to foul.

If you're the team leader you lead by example. If you aren't playing like you want to win it's going to rub off. But that last possession, when he had a chance to go for the win and he tosses it to Caruso to try to win the game... it was unbelievable. Even for LeBron that was unbelievable.

Everyone wanting Lebron to shoot when he's 9 of his last 46 says a lot about how bad this team has become offensively.

I don't have a problem with him starting... I have a problem with signing him to a long term contract.

Exactly. Being a LeBron fan I’m not used to him shooting over the guys from 30 feet with a guy wide open. Unselfish play by LeBron. I wanted him to shoot it too until I saw the double come and an open shooter

This is where you miss Rondo. He got on him for that bad body language.

I think he and AD had a pretty big voice in its construction. But, minus AD and DS what you see is no reliable secondary score, and no one else who can reliably create their own shot. Kuz has his moments but is hit and miss on offense.

Well one thing Lebron is learning from Kobe is that there’s no need to over do it. Sure frustrating for us attaching our emotions too much to a regular season game.

Lebron is exhausted.
Need the others to step up more , sure.
This was expected.

There was no wide open lane. It’s like you saw a different ending. They quickly doubled him behind the three. If you wanted him to shoot a heavily contested shot just say that. LeBron just tied the game last week to force overtime. He will always make the right play. If Caruso isn’t prepared to take a shot then he shouldn’t be out there.

Pastor - one thing Vog has absolutely and noticeably done is go crazy with timeouts in the first half. Often by end of the 3rd quarter Lakers are lucky if they have 3 left. We've seen now more than once in closing minute of a game the fact Vog does not respect having a timeout for final seconds = Lakers cant stop and draw up a play.

On that end, the coaching staff seriously needs to improve. Just eyeball how he does it game after game. He blows through timeouts (unless Lakers up big) as if they were candy.
