Nets doesnt have much depth after this trade, I'm not that worried tbh
I also don't think Harden's game will mesh with Kyrie |

Compete? Yes. Of course.
Win? Um. I dunno. It's close.
Their roster is:
Kevin Durant
James Harden
Kyrie Irving
DeAndre Jordan
Joe Harris
Landry Shamet
Tyler Johnson
Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot
Jeff Green
Bruce Brown
Nic Claxton
Reggie Perry
Chris Chiozza

They got worse defensively |
A LOT worse
Kyrie and Harden both play zero defense.
I doubt that the BKN can get out of the east. _________________ LBJ + AD = More rings

We don't have anyone to guard big wings. Got lit up by Pandemic P and Gary Trent Jr. KD and Harden is gonna be a problem. |

It'll come down to coaching if we see them in the finals. _________________ "Every hurt is a lesson, and every lesson makes you better” |

I think the Lakers can take them it will be tough.
It’s exciting because now Lebron can get a rematch against Durant, but on more equal terms. If Lebron and the Lakers can beat them it adds to his legacy. |

Hmmm we literally just saw Anthony Davis guard Harden pretty well. And we still have a guy name Lebron James.
People underestimate how versatile both of them are defensively. Nets are obviously a problem, but lets not forget they have to guard Lebron/AD as well. Not to mention Dennis/Trez. |

I give them a year, 2 the max before they try to trade Kyrie for better depth. |

Throwing Marc Jackson's name on that def. doesn't help the claim at all.
Defense wins Championships, period. If you have an extremely great offense the defense doesn't have to be the best but it still has to be there at a very high level once you're playing full series against other elite teams and coaches who will take advantage of any and every holes they see.
We also have an absolutely loaded offense that actually compliments one another that is MUCH deeper but we also have the best defense of any team this season when they're fully engaged.
Nets have an absolute massive amount of extreme ego on that team now with pretty much no elite defensive pedigree outside of Durant with Nash and D'antoni as there coaching staff They will be absolutely scary offensively if they start to click but i'm not sure they even make it out of the East let alone beat us which I don't see happening this season honestly.
Kobe/Gasol, Lebron/AD.. Those were flawless matches that complimented each other greatly which is why there was instant success. I think the Nets will have moments of looking great this season but next season is the year they have the potential to look really dangerous if there ego's haven't already clashed at that point of course.
They def. move up as the team with the most potential of beating us by default when you have that much top heavy talent. I just don't see them actually living up anywhere near that potential this season at least. This year just got much more interesting though I will admit that! |

Lol, the Nets are the ones who are trying to stockpile talent to compete with the Lakers. |

Ugh BKN was the one team I was hoping Harden wouldn't go to.
I'm not sure we have the wing defenders, we seem to struggle against scoring wings and they have two of the absolute best.
At the same time it's hard to say, Harden pounding the ball is different from Harden the complimentary player. It's similar to when you first paired LBJ with Wade, both their impacts were diminished until they figured out who was the clear banana. Will Harden sign up for a 2nd option role? Or KD? Not seeing it.
Health wise KD and Kyrie are also huge question marks to say the least. |

Their offense should be crazy. This is where coaching really comes in because there is only one ball and 3 ball dominant players. Durant is effected the least. He's such an awesome superstar because his time of possession is almost nothing. He scores so quickly. However, both Harden and Kyrie are ball stoppers who can't play D. I think you have the same problem between them as you had with Harden/Paul and Harden/Westbrook.
I liked Harden as a fit A LOT more next to Embiid. I don't like Harden having to share the ball with two other parameter players. I'm not sure Nash can make it work because not many coaches could. A lot to ask.
Now, defense, that's a whole other story. They still don't have any players who can guard LBJ or AD. Same can be said for Durant, but Irving and Harden can be guarded with the right game plan on the playoffs.
This Lakers roster is an all-time team. I think they are worse in reality than they are on paper. Lakers in 5 or 6. _________________ LakersGround's Terms of Service

unless we play with 3 balls, they will have issues.
KD+Klay+steph is much better than KD+Harden+kryie |

If Nash and D’Antoni can find a way to make that roster work by the time the playoffs arrive, they could be scary. But I’m not sure they can. _________________ Internet Argument Resolved |

The Nets game plan will be shooting 3’s and hoping that KD and Harden go bizzark offensively, that might give you a lot of wins in the regular season but I highly doubt it’s gonna make a difference in terms of winning a championship. |

I was hoping this trade would happen much later. No matter their ceiling, they at least have time to get things clicking before the playoffs. |
