As leagues become more offensive centric (new rules to benefit offense, records being broken, etc.) let’s just hope they still call it the traditional way in the playoffs.

Defense wins championships should still be a thing. Even those Warriors teams were pretty good defensively. That’s something that seems to get overlooked because of the 4 headed monster.

Lakers are probably 2-0 vs the Nets this season if Dennis wasn't randomly taken out of the lineup 10 minutes before tip with covid protocols the 1st game. Both games had key injuries.

I definitely like our chances if both squads are fully healthy, but I am not going to sit here and pretend like the Nets have no chance because of their defense/size. When Durant has it going their is no defense that can stop him. If anybody beats a fully healthy Nets team this season then it will be a quite an accomplishment.

Nets do not defend. Their offensive firepower is spectacular but if they don’t defend they won’t win. A hallmark of MDA.

Aldridge and Blake are washed.

Maybe they can give you offensive spurts but that’s about it. Both are a liability on D.

We beat them today...both of us had unrecognizable teams yet people in here are feeling good about our chances. Hysterical. No AD/LBJ and 1h of Schroeder. They had no Harden..1 half of Kyrie and 20min of Durant. Meh useless game. Win or lose it tells us nothing. We need to worry about ourselves and where we stand and how we are even going to ge to the finals. Nets have proven they are the best in the East.

Yup, watching this game I just thank god they jumped the gun and got Blake early then went with Aldridge as well. If they got Drummond instead for even both of those guys they are a much bigger nightmare to face overall and nearly unbeatable this year. I get the game wasn't a super accurate indication how we'll match up if we meet in the Playoffs but regardless nobody missing for them is going to make a drastic difference defensively against us and especially rebounding which we'll be slaughtering.

I loved seeing Dennis abusing them with the switches too.. That will only get significantly worse for them against us at full strength. If they aren't shooting close to record levels every single game I love our chances.

Classic MDA, Steve Nash loaded team. Some things never change <3

BTW, KCP did a good job on contesting KD jumpers and he succesful in limiting him. If KCP can distract him like that, I wont doubt that AD will give him a problem defensively and offensively.

This game showed that the only thing that KD can do now is to shoot a jumpshot, he seldomly attacks the rim now.
