Former NBA head coach Lionel Hollins announced he's moving on as an assistant on Frank Vogel's staff with the Los Angeles Lakers after two seasons.

"Though this chapter has closed, it was a beautiful journey during some difficult times that ended with a championship, and I am very much looking forward to building another championship team in this next chapter of my life," the 67-year-old tweeted Friday.

Hollins amassed a 262-272 (.491) head coaching record through stops with the then-Vancouver and later Memphis Grizzlies, and with the Brooklyn Nets. He joined Vogel's staff in L.A. in 2019, helping the team win the 2020 title.

The Lakers have experienced major turnover among their assistant coaches this offseason. Jason Kidd left to become head coach of the Dallas Mavericks, while former Grizzlies and New York Knicks head coach David Fizdale has reportedly joined Vogel's staff.

To make matters worse we didn't nab any experienced coach as Lionel's replacement such as Scotty Brooks aka The Westbrook Whisperer.
