Apparently he waved goodbye and that got him a 2nd tech. Tacky of the refs.

Rewatched it, Dennis was motioning ‘yapping’ with his right hand after Kyrie got tossed, maybe it was misconstrued as a ‘bye bye wave’, pretty weak spin by ref

Kyrie issued the following statement on Twitter, clearly referring to the DS scuffle:

DS will deny it, forcing people to choose who to believe. The rantings of a fool who thinks the earth isn't round, agitates his teammates where ever he goes, and misses games on purpose so he doesn't get traded for Harden from a super team, or DS who has no reputation at all for being aggressive to opponents like that.

It probably doesn't hurt that Kyrie is looking to take some of the spotlight off of Durant's recent malicious ravings at that actor by pointing the finger at a potential Finals opponent. I don't trust one syllable out of the mouth of World B. Flat.

Agreed.

As always, he's just playing the victim after doing something asinine.

Hopefully this post is OK as I am simply relaying information. If not, feel free to delete it.

I saw the video online and someone posted what they both said.

Schroder said it casually to him "Calm down n****" and that set Kyrie off. He responded "Don't call me n****, you don't know me like that" and he was really upset. His response to hearing DS say this is what got Kyrie ejected. But DS wasn't being aggressive when he used it or racial in any way (at least in my estimation, but I am just an observer so I could be wrong).

Probably the most complicated word in terms of intent/meaning/slang ever in the history of language. Can change meaning depending on who is saying it and the context or tone in which it is said. And even then it can be ambiguous/taken differently by the person.

Also is Kyrie offended because DS said it and is from Germany and not African-American? Who knows.

Kyrie is an odd guy, but I am not going to judge him based on his response to hearing someone else use that word to him. It is a super sensitive issue and for good reason.

So just say that to Dennis and move on. Is there a need for all the tweets and theatrics that got two players ejected?

Neither player should have been ejected.

If I’m the Nets though...the sensitive nature of Kyrie and him taking time off whenever he feels like it is not a good recipe for the players. It’s very last year Clippers.

We have to move on from our team last year. We had a nearly healthy AD/LBJ most of that year.

And, Bradley/Green were different types of players than Dennis. Neither could matchup hunt and take them off the dribble. It's a different look. I'm just pleased that Dennis provides us a different weapon and he plays hard and gives it his all on defense.

The refs love to do the double-technical double-ejection (bleep) to appear "fair" to both teams. At this point, it's become completely asinine. The first tech for DS was bogus imo, and the second was weak af.

They replay everything. Why not replay the incident and enough of the double tech cop outs. Someone is the instigator, they should be punished more than the person who reacts.

Kyrie slapped the ref’s forearm off tho, that one should be auto ejection

The issues Ky has are so unrelated to basketball, it's difficult to make a comment on.

Like what Schro did on the court though. And it looks like he has a little bit more chemistry off the bat with Drummond than he did with Trez.

Dennis seems to be getting under the skin of a lot of PG's. It's a good thing.

Ref tossed both and regained control of the game, no big deal....added plus, we won.

As long as he keeps it in check and lets the others loose control; it's ok

Remember Dennis hurt his backbone area so that's next level strategy right there. He knew he probably stiffen up and couldn't play much so take Kyrie out while he's at it.

Mr. Schröder may have called Mr. Irving the word with the letter that goes after "m" and before "o" and he was not receptive.

Well at least he's taking some responsibility for those turnovers.

Schroder was responsible for a team-high five turnovers as the Knicks made L.A. look like a completely different team than the group that shocked the Brooklyn Nets with a 25-point win just a couple days prior.

"It starts with me and I take the blame for it and we just got to do better," said Schroder.

Or maybe his teammates just had a terrible game last night.

He's not a pass first point guard and I think we all know it. He won't be when LBJ/AD are back. What he is great at is attacking from the perimeter. Look at his scoring output recently (he was well on a 30+ point pace in that Nets game too).

You were pretty quiet about the Nets game though. Keep that same energy.

Unlike everyone else. I acknowledged his good play against the Nets and moved on. I don’t get too high or too low. He is who he is. A scoring guard that can be huge off the bench. His passing and turnovers alone keep him from being a lead guard... I’d say even a starter. Tired of hearing “I gotta be better with protecting the ball”.

I notice the guys who change depending on his play. You won’t get that from me. He’ll have good games, I’ll acknowledge them and still want us to move on from him in the offseason or in a sign and trade.

He’s taken responsibility every time and changed nothing.

Color me skeptical until his actions back up the words.

Uhhh no I wasn’t? I was calling Dennis out for running his mouth and letting his teammates down. I don’t know what you’re talking about. I was keeping that same energy...looks like you came down to earth and finally admit that he’s turnover machine. How come you’re not keeping your same energy? Smh...
