Easily replaced by Bradley, KCP or even Caruso...the most overrated Laker last year by far!!!! |
i dont know why bradley gets mentioned so often like its a done deal he returns, i have a bad feeling on this |

I highly doubt the lakers give up Caruso for schroder
He’s not jrue holiday or Zach Lavine
It’s likely just green and 28 tbh
Okc has SGA and Paul
They likely wanted a 3 and D wing |

Schroeder is pretty much a Rondo clone with the attitude and probably better 3pt shot. Long arms. Big hands. |

Who is our starting small guard now? We need a big wing that can defend.

Woj & Shams specifically mentioned ony Green, who makes 15 mill, which is the same salary as Schroder and the Lakers 2020 first rounder, which is all that is needed to make the salaries match for this trade to go through. |

I knew Pelinka was too smart to keep Green at $15 million....when he's worth maybe $3-4 million a year. Pelinka is a genius!!! |

Playmaker with good 3pt? I can see Handy and Vogel makes him better defender. |

Quote: | Green’s help defense would certainly be missed if this still theoretical deal — and to be clear, Shelburne isn’t reporting that Green would be in the offer, just speculating — but Schroder was an active part of the Thunder’s defense last season, capably guarding bigger players and showing some toughness in the process.
Last season’s version of Schroder would also help the Lakers offensively by giving them another creator and capable shooter, probably far more so than Green did during a down (but still okay) year for the veteran wing. This could be a deal that would really improve the Lakers, and so it’s easy to see why they’d be interested.

Caruso is not going anywhere. IMO this has no connection to Rondo... this might be more of a reaction to Bradley who is likely opting out.
While Dennis isn't a + defender, he competes his ass off, can attack the basket, and isn't afraid of any challenge. You put that into the starting 5, along with KCP, and more or less return the same bench plus Ibaka (MLE), Harkless (BAE), Wes Matthews (MIN), Dwight (MIN), and you're set for a finals return.
Personally, I love this deal. Also makes me wonder about follow up moves/trades.
Great news. |

Well at least now we start to see the dominoes falling into place.
Nice addition in a position of need but also the trade off of losing Greens defensive presence. Disappointed to see #28 going too. Was hoping to see the pick used on a PG.
Going to be interesting to see how this effects the return of other players since it is not a 5 for 1 Paul type trade.
If players opt in or re-sign, I think a rotation of Bradley and KCP starting and Schroeder and Caruso as the 2nd unit is solid.
Hope the Harkless speculation is true. Lakers need to replace Green’s defense. |

Solid defense, shot 39% from three on 5 attempts/game. 84% FT shooter.
Please say it's true. |

That'll be what FA is for
I can see us bringing back KCP, Rondo, Howard etc for whatever price, then signing Harkless to the tax-payer MLE
PG: Schroder - Rondo
SG: KCP - Caruso
SF: LeBron - Harkless
PF: Davis - Kuzma
C: Howard - McGee/Cousins _________________ #18 next... |

I think it’s just green because green actually makes sense for their roster. Defensive wing who can hit the 3 and has good size considering SGA and Paul are their best players
With Steven adams they almost just need the right 4 to be a solid middle of the road team |

True...I expect KCP to resign (hoping) not sure about Bradley....Schroeder will start IMO....I'm not sure Bradley opts in and KCP maybe asking for more than $10 million...who knows? |

He’s not a defender. Great offensively though. |
