I mean, he gave up a bloop single off the end of the bat and a ground ball towards where the second baseman has played for 99% of major league history LOL. Some bad luck, I say! Nice job to set them down after that. |

Meh, I guess we just see it differently. It was a hard hit ground ball, and with the next hitter he nearly threw it over the catchers’ head when he went behind 2-0 in the count. But then he made some really good pitches after that.
If you don’t agree, I do get nervous watching the 9th inning fwiw.

Muncy had to have been seriously compromised all last year by the injury to his hand/finger in July when he got hit by a pitch. The eye was there but the power was not. The ball is rocketing off his bat again. It's such a major development for the lineup because he can go back into the cleanup spot again, which is better than Bellinger because Muncy sees more pitches and is more likely to draw walks. That allows us to drop Bellinger, once he's back, to the 6 spot in the order if we want to, at least when Smith is catching. A top 6 of Betts/Seager/Turner/Muncy/Smith/Bellinger is just frightening. |

Belli out indefinitely they are saying. Not cool, but if any team is built to handle his absence it is these guys. _________________ Love, Laker Lanny |

- Wonder why Luke Raley is up instead of DJ Peters. From what I remember -Peters is a better defensive player. Peters can play CF. Peters has more power. Raley was cut before Peters in Spring Training. Only thing I can think of is they don’t want to start the the service time clock on Peters yet?
- We’re being outplayed so far tonight. Lucky to only be down 0-1
- Wow, Luke Raley made me eat my words. 1-1
- Matt Beaty might need to be sent down again. He hasn’t been good since his great rookie year. 1-11 with 6k so far this season. And he doesn’t really provide defense or versatility. If he’s not hitting, he’s not contributing.
- McKinstry is no Kike defensively. He’s been shaky so far.
- Knebel bad tonight
- Treinen was also off target |

Just awful. Things are really bad when I prefer Jansen being in the game.
I guess when you’re leading in the late innings in every game, your bullpen is going to blow some games at some point. |

Our rebuilt bullpen has been bad so far this year.
Starting pitching has been great. Offense has been great. Defense bad. |

This has felt like a September game in regards to intensity.
McKinstry is definitely no gold glove but his offense has been really good so far. Hopefully his defense gets better. |

Turner is so clutch. Time for Kenley to show us something good. |

Jansen's velocity looks outstanding. Hitting 94/95 |

Feel bad for Jansen... some really sketch defense behind him in that AB |

Eventhough we’re 11-2, our defense and bullpen has been very shaky this year so far. |

Too many wasted pitches to Manny who was chasing everything. And a horrible 1-2 pitch to Hosmer. Movement and velocity looking good though. Can’t feel bad for him..guys with good stuff get burned all the time. Seager should make that play but Manny got way too big of a jump and again the walk and single were uncalled for. |

Nah, typical Kenley. Gets the first out or two, walks a guy, lets him get into scoring position and then gives up a two out hit. |

He didn’t give Manny one strike that AB...and still got into a 2 strike count. One too many high cutters and Manny easily lays off that 3-2 pitch. Gotta throw a strike there or a slider if you’re throwing a ball. |

Gotta intentionally walk the first guy regardless of who it is in the bottom of the inning. |

Really shoddy defense tonight. Seager makes a basic catch of a throw at second base and this game is over, as Machado slid way past the bag. Feels like we have about 7 or 8 misplays over the past 2 games.
And of course just about the hardest-hit ball from a Dodger hitter all night was that lineout by Taylor in a huge spot. Never understood how Melancon has been as successful as he has in his career. Every time I watch him, I feel like he should get hit. |
