The Lakers may have capspace at the end of next season. Ball is similar to Rondo in many ways, and would have same chemistry as Rondo has with AD. However, it would first have to be a situation where the Pelicans no longer want to pay him and just let him walk as a FA. This would not happen any other way.
Even with Lavar drama I would be happy to take Lonzo back. He can be perfect replacement once Rondo is finished. Also he has lots of upside , can grow to good third or fourth option. If possible in any way. Why not.
Pels aren't going to just let him walk. They'll trade him first and we don't have the right assets to make a trade for Zo (b/c the Pels have said assets ). I thought Zo and Zion had good chemistry. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals
Hopefully it'll happen someday. Probably won't be right now, though. _________________ “Christ did not die to forgive sinners who go on treasuring anything above seeing and savoring God. And people who would be happy in heaven if Christ were not there, will not be there."

First off, not sure the Pels are planning on letting him go. IMO trading Holiday seems like the much better move considering the team and situation.
Secondly, why would having a young ball handler that facilitates the offense, plays defense and shoots 37% on 6 3pt attempts a game be a "bad" thing?
Most around here can embrace knuckleheads like Howard or Smith but still hold animosity towards Ball? Whose biggest issues were being a 19 yr old that struggled to meet lofty expextations as the Lakers savior and a crazy media whore of a Father.
Lakers would only be so lucky to be in position to bring him back.
DG or KCP/1st for Zo please. _________________ "He's a Zen master, so he can speak to you, and he doesn't need a microphone; you can hear him in your head, 'Ron, don't shoot, don't shoot.' Whatever, pow, three. I love the Zen, though."
Just a reminder, but Zo's massive caphold for 2021 means the 2021 plan would also be gone if you traded for Zo. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals
There’s only two teams I know that really wanted him. One was Phoenix, but I think that ship has sailed, and the other is Chicago. Also, I’m sure the Knicks can take a flyer out because what do they have to lose?
Some think this is a sign that either he didn’t like/receive his extension number or he heard that Josh Hart has an extension coming.
I’m a fan of all the ex-young core, but when it comes to Zo signing with Klutch, it’s who cares I guess. _________________ “You have to dance beautifully in the box that you are comfortable dancing in.” - Kobe Bryant
Zo may be the type of player who would try to hit UFA in 2022. He's still getting paid well ($14m QO in 2021-22 season) so he can take a gamble on himself.
I liked Zo. I think he would do well on this team with Vogel's defense oriented team. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals
Zo was 37.5% from 3s on 6.3 attempts a game. He's improving on that end. Even improved his horrid FT%.
He would be able to take some of the ball handling duties to give LBJ a break. Pipe dream but it could happen if he's gone Klutch. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals

Would Philly do Embiid for Ingram + Ball + #13? Philly needs a wing and a playmaker. Though I'm not sure they would want a PG who can't space the floor, given that that's their issue... _________________ Damian Lillard shatters Dwight Coward's championship dreams:
Zo idolizes Lebron. Unfortunately they aren’t the same talent wise at that age. Zo’s in his own head too often, and it shows with his inability to drive to the basket. Lebron’s been telling him to do that since day one. Zo’s still young, and he can still become a beast, but he needs to start now. If I were him, I’d call Bron everyday until he agrees to help with whatever he can to make Zo’s game better. _________________ “You have to dance beautifully in the box that you are comfortable dancing in.” - Kobe Bryant

I don't see Embiid/Zion as a good fit to be honest. Both need the same spots on the floor. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals

I personally wouldn’t give up that much for Embiid. But I’m not a Pels fan. _________________ “You have to dance beautifully in the box that you are comfortable dancing in.” - Kobe Bryant
