Tyronn Lue Reportedly Finalizing 5-Year Contract with Clippers as New Head Coach

Quote:
Tyronn Lue is reportedly an NBA head coach once again.

The Los Angeles Clippers are finalizing a five-year deal with Lue, who led the Cleveland Cavaliers to the 2016 championship, on Thursday, per ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Brad Turner of the Los Angeles Times reported Clippers players are happy Lue was the choice as next head coach.

I guess we will see if he actually is a good coach or if he just benefitted from the LeBron-effect in Cleveland...

Lakers only offered Lue 3 years and he turned it down, smart move as no way he gets through all 5 years, he'll piss Baldmer off somehow...

Good hire, Ty Lue knows the roster, maybe he can somewhat heal their chemistry issues and make them a consistently good defensive team.

However, I don't see how he'll make Kawhi a good leader or make Paul George into a consistently high performer in the playoffs.

Clippers still have many issues.
