And unfortunately her pride and unwillingness to retire when she had the chance for a liberal successor might mean her legacy is the end of the republic.

We are so F***ED. This is really bad. 45 is going to hurry up and get someone in there. If the votes make it to the Supreme Court...well, we know the rest...

McConnell says Trump nominee to replace Ginsburg will get Senate vote

Quote:
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) vowed on Friday night that Republicans will move to fill the Supreme Court vacancy created by Ruth Bader Ginsburg's death.

"Americans reelected our majority in 2016 and expanded it in 2018 because we pledged to work with President Trump and support his agenda, particularly his outstanding appointments to the federal judiciary. Once again, we will keep our promise," McConnell said.

"President Trump’s nominee will receive a vote on the floor of the United States Senate," McConnell added.

Never heard a bad word about the her as a person, and that includes from people that are considered hardcore right to those on the fringe left. Her resume and life have been historical in more ways than one, and her classification of being a trailblazer if beyond reproach.

RIP Justice Ginsburg

Once my drinks wore off, last night win didn't even feel that good with this news.
This is a line Democrats has to fight to hold, no 6-3 conservative SC, not for the next 30 yrs, just can not have it. Hold the line now and have to win the election period. All those anti-establishment lefts, put your fight on hold and get this one right first

I think you misunderstood or maybe I was not clear....my reference was in regards to people that actually knew her....on the record, not as anyone personally told me. I can find anecdotal internet condemnations for Jesus Christ, Gandi and the newest royal baby.....so of course someone out there online is going to express hatred for one of the most ideological members of the highest court in the most powerful nation in 2020.

Nobody would be surprised to know I was not a fan of her as a Justice, her approach and perception of the Constitution, or her many opinions issued through the court. None of that is personal or overrides my view of her as a person based on many accounts over the years, nor does it diminish my ability to appreciate her many high level professional accomplishments and the large legacy she leaves behind.
