If we play with PACE, we win. Slow pace half court offense can wait til the 4th qtr. PACE brings energy. _________________ Let's Go Lakers!!! |

Funny thing is that if the Lakers win this series and potentially a title, can see the league actually start to get bigger, rather than smaller to try to go against the size of this Lakers team in a playoff series. If the Lakers win this series, D'Antoni more than likely gets fired, Morey is already looking like he's on the way out, and the Lakers can in a way put a dent into small ball/3-point heavy systems due to the Lakers defense and size of AD & Bron. It was why I was so hyped about Cousins, as a front-court of Bron/AD/Cousins is so huge and a throwback. They would usually always have the size and physical advantage to go along with how skilled all 3 are offensively going up against small ball teams. |

Did anyone hear how Harden and Dantoni have been chirping?
Making comments like our defense is gimmicky and desperate with all the traps and zones, Harden even saying they “are so good” and he and Russ can get “any shot they want anytime”, boy these dudes are super cocky
Lets hope someone gets that info to the players and they play with some force in game 3, need to shut these guys up |

We usually get our pace going when the defense picks up |

Dion will miss but he hasn't really cracked the series rotation. |

No need to worry, the Lakers list them every game for the extra drama. They’re fine. |

The Lakers should play aggressive, push the ball and attack Houston on offense. AD and LBJ will get theirs but the role players have to step up or it will be a long night.
We will have to continue to play disciplined defense. Perimeter defense is a priority. Force them out of the corner 3!
IMO Vogel will throw several different coverages at Harden but we still have to make the right rotations and contain Westbrook from driving to the rim.
RW will be looking to bounce back so he will be a handful no matter who guards him.
DEFENSE, DEFENSE, DEFENSE!!!!

Get off fast. Keep the pedal to the medal. Coming from behind is not this team's forte. We've been known to blow leads. A win tonight gets us 1 step closer to the West Coast Finals. _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

JAVALE IN, WAITERS OUT
Per Trudell
Frank Vogel said JaVale McGee (ankle) is available with no minutes restrictions tonight. Vogel didn’t say what his starters/rotation would be. Dion Waiters, meanwhile, is out with the groin injury.

ABSENCES FROM THE OTHER SIDE - HOUSE
Per Trudell
Mike D’Antoni said that Danuel House, Jr. will not play today due to personal reasons. He added that it is not COVID-19 related. House had 13 points on 3 of 7 FG’s in Game 2.

Just repeat what we did in game 2 (LB & AD 60pts+; Rondo distributes and defends and doesn't take the bait to shoot 3s) and we'll win. |

I've always wondered: what's the difference between "questionable" and "doubtful"? Can anyone help me out? |

Well as you can see in my post above their statuses have been updated and McGee is playing and Waiters is not.
Questionable - There's a possibility
Doubtful - Probably not |

Ugh, why is McGee available? I want Morris or Kuz in the starting lineup. |

Rockets still concern me, did not feel like the Lakers really figured them out last game versus simply just outwilling them.
With that said I found it notable the Rockets regular season shooting percentage for 3's is just around 34.5%, and they shot MUCH better last game with a high volume of 3's (above 40%). Of course, Lakers 3 % last game was better but on about half the shots.
But what is really wacky? Lakers regular season 3 shooting % was better than the Rockets. (34.9 v 34.5)
WTF!? :O |
