I think I may go for this. Turns out the particular spot I need to fit the TV can only accommodate a 43" incher.

It has to go on a wall near our fireplace and patio doors.

Once you get married, you will understand the types of negotiations that must be done to maintain a happy household.

I got it yesterday. I love it. Bear in mind, my last TV is from 2009. There are multiple new technologies that I wasn't even aware of in my new TV. Thanks everyone for the help and recommendations!

Well it appears that LG has done away with analog out audio jacks. No RCA jacks or 3.5mm headphone jack to hook up with my old school sound bar ugh. Gotta use bluetooth. Can't just keep things simple eh?

If you are looking for the very best 55" TV on the market get a LG 55" OLED.

If it costs a few hundred dollars more that what you are looking speed: buy it anyway, if you divide out the difference over 10 years, it's pennies a day!

If you want to be able to see every mole, hair and freckle, get the OLED, if you want the best colors, clarity and the best black/dark scenes, get the OLED. If you want to see blades of grass during a football game, get the OLED. If you want to see the hairs in LeBrons beard, along with every mole, mark or tattoo, get the OLED.

If you want to come back in here and post a thread asking what TV you get should buy, 2 or 3 years years from now; buy the cheapest TV you can find..

I believe in the saying, "buy nice, or buy twice!" Which models do you recommend for a 60" or 65"? I am looking for a new TV, and i want to get it before i get the PS5. Currently, i have a 55" Samsung 1080p TV (bought Superbowl weekend in 2012), which is still thinner than many TVs out there, but it is not 4K.
