In explaining why the Lakers are struggling at Disney, LeBron said there was something going on, off the court, that he couldn’t control, and he’d rather not discuss.

We won’t know until after the season - assuming we ever do. Until then - it’s not something I see being leaked to the media.

Kuz wanted to dye his hair again and Lebron put him on timeout.

If he'd rather not discuss it then why did he bring it up to begin with. Seems to me that he's getting a handkerchief ready in case he needs to wrap his hand in it.

If it’s not a player thing, this is the most accurate imo.

Edit: maybe it’s a practice time issue too. It was surprising to see the Lakers practice after the raptors game and right before the back to back. Also, unusual that they were the only team to do so.

I mean if whatever it is is affecting the play on the court it must be something big I would think

my best guess is some rift amongst the team re: an important social justice or covid-related issue

I've heard some very vague stuff from a friend of the family and it doesn't sound good at all. Then for LBJ to come out and say this, it must be serious.

Do you think it has anything to do with Morris? He was late to the bubble and we still don’t know why. I think I’ll pay a bit more attention to body language tonight. I have noticed guys get annoyed with Green quickly, but that might be because of all the misses on wide open shots.

You guys, it might not even be personnel related, could be someone in the organization is really sick or something. I doubt its petty personnel stuff.

I just hope the team didn’t become fractured or divided on the decision to return. I mean the Lakers were one of the few teams that had to convince guys to join the bubble (Bradley, Dwight).

The AB point is a good one. There might have been more to it than just his son’s health.

I hope it’s not because players don’t wanna be here..like AB and Dwight initially. We have a chance to win...everyone should be damn excited and motivated.

Again we don’t know the reason but I sure hope can be resolved soon. The spirit of the team looks dead

Social injustice and racial inequality.

"Off the court" to me means it isn't basketball related.

Is it something fixable based on what you heard? You also posted tidbits in reddit but you deleted due to the clowns there.

Well watching Javale's Youtube behind the scenes coverage of the past few weeks in the bubble, it doesn't exactly scream team chemistry issues. I say that with the understanding that obviously he's not gonna broadcast the bad (bleep), but the guys still all seem pretty tight.

Is he hinting at certain people being out of shape/practice?

Here we go...

I mean first of all, the Avery and Dwight thing must have bugged the rest of the team. I know they say there are no wrong choices, but still, you kinda come off as "hey look at me, I'm a better human being than my teammates." I think Avery is sincere, but Dwight has always been about Dwight his whole career. So when he was posturing, I thought it was all a form of virtual signaling. I had no doubt that he would play.

Now you got Dion Waiters and JR Smith added to the mix. I think most likely this has something to do with following bubble rules. Use that snitch line Bron, that's what it's for! Get your popcorn ready!
