In memoriam

(bleep)

R.I.P. to an absolute master of his craft. Equal parts prolific and consistently brilliant. I just watched The Great Silence for the first time this afternoon, and couldn't help but to be taken aback by yet another masterwork score by Mr. Morricone. The man lived and breathed his work, much respect.

The icon of his craft, for sure. So many of his pieces are part of our culture.

I remember sitting in my seat for the 12 minute intermission of "Hateful 8" just to hear his score.
