Believing all lives matter is not what's controversial. Nobody ever said that anyone's life doesn't matter. What's controversial about the statement is that it ignores the obvious fact that not all lives are treated equally by our society. _________________ You thought God was an architect, now you know

As an owner of both, I can tell you that a cat can definitely seriously injure a person and attack another animal. My dog wouldn’t hurt a fly but one of my cats will (bleep) you up if you cross him lol. But they are much less work to take care of. Both pets have their strengths and weaknesses but cats are great for people who want a low maintenance pet. _________________ 14-5-3-12 |

I believe that it’s stupid insofar as it passes the responsibility to pay a living wage on to the customer. I would support doing away with tipping so long as Menu prices and wages for staff increased. _________________ 14-5-3-12 |

And every once in a while you get a cat that has some dog in him. My last cat came running when called, fetched, sat at the door waiting for me to come home, and walked in a leash. But he could also amuse himself if I was busy. _________________ “We must always take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. I have had many dogs and cats over my lifetime. The only one that ever injured me was a cat. It was in a (bleep) mood and when I tried to pick it up to get it to calm down, it swatted at my hand and slashed my palm open. Dogs only act aggressively when they are mistreated or trained to do so. Cats are just (bleep) by nature. _________________ You thought God was an architect, now you know

Other than mistreated or deliberately trained ones, dogs are mostly subservient to humans. But a cat does not believe he is your inferior, and if you’re dumb enough to (bleep) with him when he’s told you he’s not in the mood, he will tax that ass. _________________ “We must always take sides. Mine have some of that too, though all of their personalities are pretty different. They’re needy in their own ways. It’s funny when they decide that it’s time for you to put down what you’re doing and give them attention. _________________ 14-5-3-12 |

I'm not for early-entry into the NBA. I'd like to see two years of college ball or two years of g-league/overseas play, or other experience to show you are ready to play. Twenty years of age minimum to enter the NBA. I'd like to see 70% free throw percentage a requirement for early entry into the league as well.
Also, I'd like to see some more stringent penalties for technical fouls/flagrant fouls. My first solution is to make technical fouls count as 3 personal fouls. My other solution is to have the suspensions sooner for cumulative technical fouls. 5 technicals, miss a game, 7 technicals, miss 2 games, 10 technical fouls, 3 games, 12 technical fouls 5 games. All games missed, without pay. _________________ LAKERS 2019-2020: NBA World Champions! |

On average, women and black engineers with 10+ years of experience are generally better male engineers with the same experience.
Reason: women and black engineers work have to defend themselves due to the misogyny and racism that exists in the industry. Many people leave. The ones who survive it are truly great.
Anecdotal: My Lead DevOps is black. My previous API team, top 2 engineers were female, with 10+ years. Could finish my sentences on design patterns and development of APIs. Crushed everyone else on the team.
Previous team to that had 2 extremely reliable, and cleanly written code by women, and again, a great senior black hardware guy. Again, way better than many of their counterparts.
It's an annoying result of the field, and it sucks. I take advantage of that and hire them when I get the chance because tbh, it's self serving. |
