I remem an article/pic about a 5 yrs back re a chunk of amber that a paleontologist (a clever girl) found in an amber collection at a bazaar in Myanmar. She recognized that it was a one-off find. It contained a 100 million year old feathered tail chunk from a chicken-sized dino that scampered about in the leaf litter. It even had a chunk of the critter's fleshy tail attached. The feathering was also neatly/straightly presented in light, non-occluded amber. It was like reaching into into a Sleestakian warp zone and it gave visual proof of the shape/pattern that feathers evolved into at a magnified level, allowing biologists to discard one of two competing theories they had on the subject for lack of a 100 million yr old feathered dino tail.
