So I just switched from an iPhone 7 to a Galaxy S20, and I'm getting multiple notification symbols for the same app. Looks like it's only Twitter and my email. For example if I get 3 tweets I see 3 birds in my notification bar. If I get 3 emails (same account), then I see 3 envelopes. I've been on Android before, but I don't remember that being the norm. I did transfer data using Samsung Smart Switch app.

Lightly pull down the notifications bar. Hit notifications settings. Or go to settings then notifications. It'll bring up all the apps that can notify you. Tap the app and you can change their individual settings

I only have one twitter account. I looked there already under the Twitter app. There's like 8 types of notifications for twitter. When I get a tweet from 3 different people I follow. My notification bars fills up with 3 birds. There's nothing in the notification settings about duplicating the notification symbol.

The first thing I would do is force stop and clear the cache for the app. If that doesn't help clear the data. Then re-sign in

I uninstalled and reinstalled the app. Wouldn't that work as well?
