Thanks, I just noticed the date in the schedule. That's good. It gives us a days rest. LAWD knows we need it after the effort we put forth yesterday.

* FYI:
In two games vs the Clippers, the Lakers have attempted a whopping 78 3-pointers, making 25 (32%).
That is not our game, we have to go inside vs the Clippers.
The Lakers are best when scoring in the paint and on drive-and-kick treys.
Defense and points in the paint will be key..... GO LAKERS!! |

AD is the obvious X factor in this match up imo. He needs to put his imprint on the game early and often. Don't settle for the perimeter shots early especially, attack the paint. IDK if it's just in my mind but it seems like he shoots drastically better from the perimeter if he gets going in the paint first and sees a few shots go in.
I really love how we have been playing lately and obviously the Clips have been playing great as well so this is going to be a legit, no excuses match up. It killed us last game when Beverly aggravated Lebron's goin issues especially going into the fourth and he clearly couldn't drive (which also limited his play making abilities) and then him and AD both weren't hitting there outside shots. |

In the 4th quarter of Bucks game, LBJ and AD scored 26 of the 27 points. They clearly were going to make sure to send the playoff type game message that they will close out teams.
It will be interesting to see how the clippers defend them in the 4th and if the Lakers can close if leading. |

I think this games actually means much more to the Laker than it does for the Clippers.
If the Lakers win we will be up 7 in the loss column and will allow us to experiment with our rotations and give LBJ and AD immediate rest. In addition when we meet them for the 4th time in April the pressure will be off and it really won't matter if we win or lose (Though winning and evening the series at that point would be much better than going down 0-4).
We hear from nearly everyone that the Clippers are a superior team with superior depth and talent. With a win this would help silence some of the supporters. Also, the Laker players need this win to truly validate themselves as the #1 team in the NBA. In addition it would give the Clippers some doubt as they approach the playoffs.
If there ever was a true statement game with multiple implications, this is it. |

Ballmer needs to win to keep his narrative in the media alive on ESPN. It's why they've been turning up against us all season. In comparison Vogel just said the regular season games against the Clippers don't matter. |
