Big mistake pitching to Yaz with first base open and 2 outs and Dickerson on deck. Yaz is one of the best hitters in baseball in the early going, and Dickerson's AB's against Buehler did not look comfortable. Oh well.

Buehler's stuff is there but his command still isn't. Walked 4 and hit a batter today.

EDIT: Also had a wild pitch, too, which is why Yaz's single scored 2 instead of 1.

This offense is looking really bad...Or, maybe the better way to describe it: hot and cold. Doesn't matter how murderous our lineup looks on paper.

They're either they're scoring double digits, or hardly anything.

What's new right? This is why we flame out in the playoffs.

McGee looks reborn after getting out of Colorado. Just throwing almost all fastballs, and the hitters don't pick him up. Ferguson is also striking out a ton of people. Alexander's looked good as well. No wonder they had to send Kolarek down, with those 3 lefties all looking great.

That opening 4 game series vs. the Giants felt like a loss.

AJ and Mookie saved the series and Walker's substandard game. Rox lost so only half game out but Pads won so...

Fiesty and improved Padres come in for 4, if Seager's limited then we'll probably split. Capt. Obvoius here but our pitchers must handle a white-hot Tatis with care!

Vs. Padres:
Game 1: May
Game 2: Stripling
Game 3: Urias
Game 4: Kershaw

And we miss Lamet in this series who pitched a no-no into the 7th against the Dbacks today!

Lamet has looked sensational so far. If they get their bullpen back on track, that team is going to be a very dangerous out for anyone.

Yes with Mcgee essentially set-up man 1A/AB with Treinen we may have use for Kolarek again in a LOOG role to close an inning or somthing.

Lineup for tonight is out. Smith catches May and bats 9th. Muncy shifts to 2B, Rios in there at 1B. Beaty is the DH. Beaty batting ahead of Rios, for some reason.

Pederson
Betts
Bellinger
Turner
Muncy
Taylor
Beaty
Rios
Smith

His velo is still low but KJ's cutter had some nasty movement on it last night. I'm trying not to get pulled back in, but that thing looked wicked. . . although he's still struggling to locate

Muncy can't get another run in with 1st and 3rd and 1 out. He's just so off right now. He's going to find himself hitting 7th once Seager returns.

Like clockwork, another inning-ending double play with the bases loaded.

Beaty's K is the key to the entire inning. Just get a run in there right away, we don't, and now it's 1-1. The Dodgers are awful with men on 3rd and less than 2 outs; it's genuinely unreal. Should have been up 3-0 or 4-0 and now it's 1-1 when their version of Austin Barnes hits a home run. Just so frustrating.

Oh looky, another 0-2 base hit by a Padre hitter on a fastball, this time for the lead for them. I'm so pissed off. I know I am right about this but the Dodgers computers tell them to throw 0-2 strikes because that's the worst batting average for any count. Yeah, no sh*t, because pitchers generally throw crap up there on 0-2 and if they put that in play, that's the only way to record a batting average.

So pissed off. We're a stupid team. We think we're smart and we're so smart that we become stupid again.

Yup, you just cannot strike out in that instance (though I guess theoretically that's better than a DP, thought a DP would probably result in a run).

Can't fault Rios for not coming through there as hit that sucker on the screws....just right at Hosmer.

Would rather see a GIDP with no outs and take a 2-0 lead than a K. And it may not be a double play and it may find a hole. Just have to put a ball in play.

Turner's defense is going to bite us this year. Especially in the first rd when it's only a 3 game series.

3 errors in 18 games so far, 1 error every 6 games. On pace for 27 errors in a full season.
