Very workman like game. Just solid with Walker being lights out. Didn't overwhelm them. Those are not as fun to watch but maybe even tougher on opponents because they aren't 1 game aberrations.

I love boring wins. This game was the most anti-climax postseason game in recent memory, but I absolutely enjoyed it.

Dave’s plan is still on track.

Can we celebrate for the 3rd Sunday in a row? (Lakers title, Dodgers pennant, Dodgers title )

Buehler is everything the Dodgers need in an ace in the postseason.

This series should end in 5. Just hope their bullpen game doesnt throw off the rhythm of our guys. We need to jump Yarbrough early if he is the opener

I've been critical of Roberts in game decision making in the past. But I gotta give him props for this post season. He's pushing all the right buttons so far. Let's keep it up Dave.

Luckily for us, the Dodger hitters provided Buehler with run support so they didn't have to go 18 innings to get a win like last time...

I keep rooting for Jansen. And he keeps letting me down. He's just too long in the tooth.

Surprised this thread isn't dominated by Betts talk. Every hit he gets, even if it's a single, eventually turns into a runner in scoring position. Not sure there is an advanced analytic stat that really quantifies that value appropriately.

This is me when I see Jansen warming up in the pen.

I’m rooting for him too. And while it wasn’t the best pitch it was against a dude that’s been on fire in October so I can look past it as long as that’s the last run he gives up this series.

Betts is incredible. I think it’s just one of those moments where is guy is doing so many things that you can’t keep up to mention anything because you wanna see what he’ll do next. I’m still in awe of his game 5,6,7 catches in the NLCS. Each one of those is a signature postseason highlight and he did it in 3 straight. Then the steals and great base running so far in this series. And that’s all before mentioning his hitting. We really are seeing an all time great in his prime AND he’s on a contender doing it in the playoffs. We are blessed.

Gonsolin and May need to take notes when Buehler pitches in the postseason.

1988 was also the last time the Dodgers were up 2-1 in the World Series.

Oakland had just taken game 3 after coming home and I’m sure their fans felt a ton of confidence.

If Dodgers win this year it will even better because not only the Lakers won but the Clippers choked big time.

Personally, I love to watch good teams play at their best against one another. That makes the win much sweeter when my team wins.

Buehler is an absolute beast. His last few postseasons (specifically, G3 against Boston in 2018, G5 against Washington in 2019 and tonight) have been incredible. Thankfully we gave him the run support tonight and he got the well-deserved W.

The patience, discipline and tenacity of our at bats is a welcome and refreshing change from years past when you'd just see our big guns flail and strike out in every key at bat and squandering opportunities. We've come a long way.

Betts is like a one man Swiss Army Knife - dude just does it all. Probably the toughest out in the game.

That 50 runs scored with two outs is the tell tale sign of a locked in and clutch team. I know the 2018 Red Sox had a similar type of record in the regular season, but damn - that is an amazing stat. This team doesn't panic, stays locked in and just wears opposing pitchers down.

Two more.

That year was amazing esp with the Dodgers underdogs! That was also the year LA welcomed The Great One to LA. A really good year for LA sports.

In the highest of leverage situations, give me Turner, Muncy and Joc Pederson for the at bats in that order. These 3 to me are the clutchest players in the Dodger lineup.

I still remember game 163 for the division in 2018. Lose that and the team finishes 2nd and has to play the wild card game. Here’s the boxscore:

I am certainly happy and proud of this team, but this team, though they are not alone, crushes misses--that is they jump all over meat pitches. Last night they had a bunch of meat pitches--sliders that don't slide and are right in the heart of the plate. Guys who stay on the corners, mixes speeds, and moves up and down, still give this team all kinds of problems.

Yep, good pitching still beats good hitting. On the other hand, and fortunately for the Dodgers when on the field, good pitching also beats mediocre hitting.

While we're counting blessings, you could almost say the same about Anthony Davis!
