He is even better than many of the others, and it is a long line of pitching dominance.
What a player, great job drafting this guy. |
It’s unreal how good he has been in his postseason career. I hope we get to see him, Mookie, Corey, Cody, Julio, and Will in blue for the next decade plus. |
Add Will Smith and Dustin May to that list. |
Yeah, the thing with May is, if he can't develop a strong secondary pitch, they could always turn him into a power reliever and every fastball could be 99-100 if he's strictly a reliever. Wouldn't be the worst thing in the world if we end up with a May-Graterol power duo at the back end of the relief corps.
And I'll just add that the league still has trouble hitting May as a starter without a strong strikeout pitch.

Yep my bad. Dustin's stuff is so electric that if he can develop that second go to pitch like CS says, look out! And then there are the others. We really are stacked. |

He looked sharp after a little rest. Great downward action on several of his pitches in that inning. Good to see. |

Graterol hits 102 after 4 days of rest. Just six pitches. He'll be fine for tomorrow! I'd imagine we see Jansen in the 9th. |

102mph and only 7 pitches. Best of both worlds; no rust and didn’t even need to break a sweat today |

I'm sure Jeter Downs is a fine prospect and he may turn out to be a very good major leaguer. Having said that, I have been on Graterol since the revised trade was agreed to and I liked the eventual trade better. Graterol is just flat-out disgusting, and I mean that in the best possible way. I knew Jansen was on the decline and to get a guy like that, I thought, was just huge. Never thought Maeda would be as good as he was this season, but I'd make that trade every time. (Obviously, since we got Betts lol, but you know what I mean.) |

Not sure if this was mentioned regarding Graterol but his end of inning celebration pointing at the sky is to thank god but also a tribute to his late brother who passed away 5 years ago. |

I agree. Also considering how we turned Puig into Downs +, I have faith they can do it again and find a suitable replacement. |
