Three straight unproductive outs leading off in the extra innings.

God forbid we lay down a bunt and get the runner over to 3rd

The "book" says to only bunt if you are the home team and it's tied in this runner-starts-the-inning-at-second-base situation. The logic being, if you're on the road and you give up the out, you're essentially playing for one run, limiting yourself before the home team gets a shot in the same situation. Then again, psychologically, there might be something to be said for getting ahead and forcing the other team to execute to tie it up.

Santana with a much sharper slider tonight than he had in LA. Nice to see. Good work by the kid.

The pitching staff has given up 13 runs in the first 6 games (counting today, but I’m not including extra inning runs because of the weird rule, and if this team had an offense today, this would be a win because the Astros only scored 1 run in the first 10 innings).

Basically the last man standing in the pen, unless you wanna go Kelly who is appealing the suspension and technically available!

Leave the kid in. He hasn't thrown a lot of pitches.

HUUUGE SWEEEP!!!! Slight revenge but better than nothing as we can't gloat in the Houston fans' real faces, not the cut-outs.

Standings wise have to stay sharp as the Padres and Rox are red hot.

Funny how not knowing what pitch is coming makes it harder to hit good pitching.

I would have loved to see a blowout but this 13 inning loss has to be so frustrating for the Astros.

Hopefully this is a rare occasion when our MVP duo goes 1-10 and that we're able pull out a win despite that handicap. The MVPs should pick it up over the weekend in another next hitter's park Chase Field.

Still don't have a starting pitcher named for 2 of those 4 games, is Santana ready to give us a few innings like this on Sunday?

Yep, Altuve and Bregman looked clueless at the plate all night, 0-10 combined, without the buzzing and trash can banging those punks are mere mortals.

I was thinking the same thing and so were the announcers.

Remember the inning before, when Seager hit a deep fly to the outfield, followed by Taylor bouncing a ball to the second baseman, moving the runner to third with two outs?

What would have happened if the FIRST batter moved the runner to third and the SECOND batter hitting a long fly out to the outfield? Answer: The Dodgers would have scored on a sacrifice fly..!

And the game would have been over before Rios at bat...!

The eight-game suspension for Joe Kelly in a 60-game season is the equivalent of a 22-game suspension in a 162-game season.

The flip side to that argument is, you can do something (like punch someone in the face) that’s actually worthy of an 8 game suspension (in a 162 game season) knowing that you’re only going to get the 60 game equivalent penalty (2-3 game suspension?).
