1. Lakers were in a playoff atmosphere game vs a very talented team and won
2. With that said some of the weaknesses were exposed, starting with when teams get physical down low with AD and refs let it go
3. I am dissapointed that without celtics having Kemba this game was close; that does cause me to pause
4. With that said Tatum was on fire hitting contested jumpers and making crazy moves in the lane - kudos to Lakers for slowing him down in 4th.
5. If Kemba played im not sure Tatum gets this many touches, plus he can be abused on d
6. AD absolutely must do a better job of ball protection in the post - opposimg teams know where he puts the ball and are getting good anticipatory swats at it
7. With thst said AD was a big part for todays win with his 3s, rebounding, overall defense (look tatum was just on fire) and FT
8. Loved lbjs mj/ kobe tongue sticking out before the clutch turn around jumper.
9. Overall mostly good, some bad...while i think Lakers can be critiqued let me be clear in that the officiating kept boston in this game. Theres no coincidence that once the refs allowed teams to play (after lakers fell down by 5 in fourth) that the Lakers won this game. I have no answer re the inconsistent officiating other than today it helped the leprechauns stay close along with tatum |
Also with Markieff just signing with the Lakers that added size will help us better defend players like Tatum going forward
Kemba doesn't hurt us as much imo because we have good guard defenders all the way down our bench but Danny and KCP on Tatum HURT! |
Yea i been keeping quiet on markieff but now its official im optomistic about seeing what he can do. Too many folks already passed judgement on him but i want to see how he does first...there is promise there for sure. |

Aren't most guys his size bad at the line? AD and a few others are big exceptions.
I'm sure Federer would've loved to be as good as Nadal on clay, but we all have a ceiling. |

Re AD, its becoming clear to me scouting says he can be bothered and forced into TOs by just putting a smaller player on him who is physical. AD's counter to this, when not doing his fadaway/turn around jumper (not a hi % shot for him) is him trying to set up the defender and do a face up - problem is I've noticed teams anticipate where he is placing the ball, e.g. Tatum's swipe of AD was him totally anticipating where AD would place ball when he turned around (likely from scouting or just watching video). AD needs to counter this by being craftier where he places it, etc. Would help ALOT with his low-post game vs small lineups. |

Yeah smart is the type of guy that could go off any playoff game although not consistently but I'm not taking anything away from this win. Smart and Kemba are interchanbeable for at least one game if that makes sense
Good win fosho |

DG is too slow, KCP too small and Kuz too stiff to really make a huge difference, though down the stretch the latter two did make some difference. Similar to why the Clippers maybe trouble. Markief will help but still hoping for Harkless to get bought out, which would give the team another wing defender. |
Harkless already said he will stay with the Knicks for the rest of the season. |

I’d rather play the bucks than the Celtics for the finals. We match up better |

Our bench outscored their bench 43-11. _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold. |

I don't have time but I found this one from Bill Simmons. lol

I went over to reddit and looked at twitter and it's just monumental (bleep) about the refs.
About damn time we got some calls though |

AD hit some big 3s that really made a difference. But.,, he missed two crucial finishes at the rim with under 3 minutes to play. He seemed to have trouble with the physical play down low. Had flashbacks of Pau Gasol 2008. |

It’s funny how these things work because the calls were in the Celtics favor until basically the last 5 min. |

Green glasses aside, the Celtics got away with murder on AD, especially Theis |

Post-Game:
LeBron's clutch jumper sends Lakers past Celtics 114-112
Quote: | James scored 29 points and put the Lakers ahead on a fallaway jumper with 30 seconds to play, and Los Angeles split its season series with Boston in a 114-112 victory.
James also had nine assists and eight rebounds in another superb all-around game.
He missed a tying free throw moments before he coolly nailed the turnaround shot over Jayson Tatum to put the Lakers ahead to stay in their fifth straight win overall. |
